Hello everyone - this report is mainly about the regular RLD 'tourist traps' as we havent yet been brave enough to try a kamer and not sure we will, as we are mainly a swinging couple anyway and havent been struck by anyone in particular (yet)! But we thought it might be interesting to read full reviews of the places that are mentioned a lot but without much detail.

We are in a nice city centre apartment - massivley more expensive than a hotel but suits us.

Firstly we must be the crappiest sex tourists in history - walked for hours on Friday night when we arrived and failed to find the RLD. Should have taken a map i suppose. Did see a couple of windows and thought "is that it?" - but having got back and checked georges map i think we saw "Singel" area. Anyway - finally found it on Saturday - was heaving.

First stop - Erotic Museum on Damrak - have also visited Sex Museum in RLD - a comparison. Erotic Museum on Damrak was cheaper (4.50 euro each) than the sex museum (7 euros each i think) and a LOT better. It was more interesting with a more 'thorough' overview of sexuality and porn - the RLD place seemed to run out of steam after the first floor - its main claim to fame seems to be some (not very good) and (not very) erotic drawings by John Lennon. The Erotic Museum was fun, interesting and actually had quite a sexy atmosphere.

Cassa Rossa - bit of a queue and 45 euros each including some free drinks (five i think) - whilst waiting there was an organised tour going in and hearing someone shout out loud in the street "this way for the live sex show" is not something you hear every day! Went in and settled down - was full (saturday 10pm) - the drinks system is chaotic (barman walking up and down the aisles) but works well. Nice toilets (always the mark of a class establishment....)
First show was a fairly sexy vaguely philippino (ish) looking girl stripping, gets a few blokes on stage - makes fools of them, then the gorilla suited man comes out wielding his strap-on. All funny and light hearted. Next male stripper (black and 6 foot tall) gets three girls up and has fun with them. Again good fun and light hearted. Next a very athletic (but not very sexy) couple having sex - very choregraphed but good too. Then a frankly very unsexy dominatrix type who gets some poor guy up and makes him look a bit foolish. Not great and makes the audience a bit restless. Then a much sexier couple having sex - attractive and not bored looking - quite sexy.

Moulin Rouge - next day and 25 euros each - included 3 drinks each. Much smaller venue, a bit quieter (being sunday evening) and initially didnt have high hopes, BUT it was actually quite intimate with a fairly sexy stripper/dildo show, then a really very sexy couple having sex, then a very nice strip/candle wax act that we both really enjoyed. Going against prevailing wisdom i know but as a couple this was probably the best show, and was genuinely quite sexy.

Banana Bar (show only) today - tuesday - pm. Ok so not the best time to visit, but poor and (almost) depressing. Strangley (minor con trick coming up) doorman charged us 30 euros each including return eveing visit to the 'full show' - which actually turned out to be the evening show at Cassa Rossa! But didnt include any drinks (didnt use all our free ones from sat night anyway) And (cynical old me) not sure if the tickets would actually get us into CR if we tried tonight.... Anyway, show starts on tiny stage, with very bored, very skinny girl doing a half hearted dance and dildo show. Then a not attractive couple having very brief sex (girl was giggling some of the way through but she did have great tits) finally blonde girl with quite nice figure (who wife informs me was part of athletic couple at CR on sat night) doing solo strip and dildo. I dont want to be rude to the poor lady as she did her best but she wasnt in the first flush of youth, and from her face had probably seen more darkest hours than an eskimo nightwatchman. We did ask the doorman about the actual bar area with the girls doing tricks, and to be fair to him he did say it probably wasnt 'our kind of thing' - so he couldnt be accused of upselling!

Minor point - doorman at Moulin Rouge came VERY close to getting a slap from my wife on sat night - as we walked past he said "Live sex show - your never too old!" Now my wife is mid 40s and STUNNING, so maybe he didnt quite mean that and it came out wrong in translation - but he will never know how close he came to being thrown in a canal - she's not tiny either and could probably manage it - instead he just got told "fuck off you cheeky bastard!"

Seen lots of window girls - and surprised by the huge mix - there really is something for everyone - but havent seen anyone yet who makes our jaw drop. Will keep you posted. Looked out for the most often commented upon girls, but their kamers appeared busy all the time. Maybe tomorrow.

Really sorry if all this is off the usual trip report lines, but hope it is interesting enough reading. Will be going to a swingers club at the weekend before returning to the uk, so if you guys are interested can post a full report on that too.

Went back to CR last night - our daytime tickets were accepted without question so no rip off - and the show was a LOT better than sat night. The crowd was quieter (but it was still full) but more acts, a couple of different ones to sat night - all very entertaining - better this time than MR , so now our impressions are probably back in line with the most commonly expressed views.

A note about Amsterdam itself - a beautiful, diverse, very safe, very friendly city, great service everywhere we have been to. Hollanders have every right to be proud of their capital and their country - makes the uk look like the shithole it is.

Nice report. I did the same thing. I visited almost all "clubs", I mean, I seen the main sex live shows. Moulin Rouge has my preference (nothing to do with the French Moulin Rouge which is very prude in comparison). It's nice, very sexy with a friendly atmosphere (Casa Rosso too but it's more like going to the theater watching a film with a lot of people, except that there's only sex in screen). I was impressed by this very blond couple looks like german one, they fucked really hard in various and sometimes inventive positions. He has long hair and her girlfriend (wife?) has silicone, thin body and green eyes. They rock ! Sex Museum is well located. There's a bunch of rare early 20's and 40's erotic and rated R pictures, videos and even the set of Marilyn Monroe for Playboy in 50's when she used to be an erotic model, including also the famous sequence of classic The Seven Year Ich with the white dress. It's close to Centraal Station, not far from Macdonald's. This "vis-à-vis" with traditional shops (souvenirs shops, food shops and a lot more) gives him an atypical touch. I haven't yet been in Bananen Bar and Sex Palace with the peep show cabins (Price starts 2 €).


I was also stunned by La vie en Rose (La vie en Proost). All those lovely/gorgeous naked girls and lapdances, 2 inches from the face. It's very clean and welcoming. 5 € fee entrance, I was surprised, and after drinks (soft drinks and alcohol) are from 6,50 to 20 (coke, vodka orange, whisky, etc). But it's far more cheaper than France where everything in Pigalle's neighboorhood is totally overpriced, less lightened and refreshing, mostly a tourist trap. I didn't have a second this feeling in Amsterdam in any of all those clubs.

For kamer and experience relative to that. If I may give you an advice, is to seek Max's kamer. She is situated in Sint Annendwarsstraat, in the main RLD, kamer 21. She is tall and she stands in the middle of the kamer. I don't think you can miss her with her stunning look and curly black hair. She told me (and it's not really a fresh news) she does couples and does everything to make them at their ease. If you want she will guide you and your wife for a nice and relaxed session.

I was there on my first trip in 2007 and remember an American couple in the bar area having fun at the show (before they added all the new areas and live sex shows) best of all the ticket includes all the free booze you can drink for the hour or so you are in there.

Speaking of sex clubs and/or erotic theatres, I hope I'm not off-topic, I've done a little investigation, seeking informations about clubs around in France, Pigalle and other areas in Paris who is known worldwide to be a sex place. In fact it's more a cliché than a reality. I've never been in any of these clubs, despite the fact I always been curious. I remember well I passed in Pigalle along Boulevard de Clichy, with all sex shops, all in a row. The tenants were all gifted to force people to come in, harassing people right in the street although they didn't want to "You will pay only inside, there's a lot to see" were probable one of the sentence they like the most. I just didn't like it. There's plenty of hostesses bars. You pay the entrance, then you have to pay for a bottle of champagne (150 to 500 € each, depending on the name, year, etc.). After seeking informations (the ones updated in priority), it appears seeing people on stage is very expensive. I noticed the average price is 50 € for an "erotic show" without any drinks. The reason why is there's no bar. Too bad. What is that suppose to mean in a few words : To be able to see girls in dresses doing artistic art more than erotic dances. Nothing more, nothing less. The aim is giving to the audience a spectacle with art, dance skills. If you want a private show (no tits sucked or even touched) for 15 min is around 80 €. Performers are all masked. The location is a narrow street, called "Rue Saint-André des Arts", in Paris, and the erotic theatre itself is "La Chochotte". Some guys have asked for private shows with sex, at least oral sex and it's 200 € or 350 € with tongue kissing, and it's only blowjob. It's seems really hard to gain. You know "Les Folies Bergères", "Le Moulin Rouge", or "Le Crazy Horse" ? Quite expensive, but not so much prude in a way. To summarize : For 50 € you have girls on stage who are not naked, you cannot touch them, and you cannot ask for a discount price (except girls, the price is cheaper, 30 €). It's situated in a renowned district (6ème arrondissement), eggheaded, distinguished district, and you have to pay the price for that. For striptease, Hustler has a implantation, right in the heart of Paris, in Champs-Elysées, in Berri's street at 8. There's another club, called 88, Club Private Center 88, in Saint-Denis street. In someway, it's the same scheme than Amsterdam peep shows, except the main difference : the price. 2 € for Amsterdam. Private booths, four floors, 100000 DVDs (that's what it is said, can't confirm), evening themes (gay, bi, etc) and erotic theatre with couples fucking on stage. Apparently it's essentially french pornstars who perform in front of audience but not only. It's have been written that they were in a few occasions three couples, each one taking turns.

Actually in order not to be clearly seen and closed by police services, the clubs use to stick in front door various names : "Place to relax and have a good time with massage". It's not clearly written brothel or sex club, brothels have been closed since 1946. Prostitution is legal with different forms (no windows, street hookers) but not proxenetism. A boss cannot rent a private house for hookers to work within. It's considered money extorsion and sex exploitation. I think you knew it by the way. It's maybe the reason why so many girls do prostitution by escort services or sex activities in their own apartments in France. In other words, you can have a drink, pay 10€ minimum and then 160 for champagne, flirt with a girl in a bar, and have sex but be prepared to you pay 200 € while swinging and libertin clubs do it all but most of the part for couples with a strict dress code for some of them. Less freedom.

I like the Moulin Rouge, it's my favorite strip joint in the world. There's a nice variety, nice humor and very sexy shows. There is just enough time between acts to get a drink, the staff is very friendly. The pole work is fantastic, gravity defying. My favorite is the couple sex act and I love the 'Lollipop girl'. The audience is very nice, lots of women in groups, and couples. Several acts ask for volunteers from the audience, don't be shy.

Here's my list of tips to ensure a good time. If you like the show, smile. Performers can be uncomfortable in front of a group of serious, unsmiling tourists so if you are having fun, show it. Applause is always appropriate after the act. When you especially like an act, it's OK to thank the performer as she walks off the stage. A small Euro bill discreetly tipped to the showgirl will be a tangible show of your appreciation. In my experience she might even join you at the bar before her next act.
