On my brief visit to Hamburg I only had one chance to go to the Reeperbahn and it was during the day. Virtually all of the windows were empty , except for one granny and one tranny.
My question is : how does the Reeperbahn compare to Der Wallen?
I mostly am interested in the basics such as prices and the quality and friendliness of the girls etc.

The price on Reeperbahn start form about 35EUR (the Thai girls in the two brothels on Grosse Freiheit) but for most other the normal price is 50EUR just like in Amsterdam. However there are lots of rip-off working on the Reeperbahn and especially German girls will almost never give you any kind of decent service for 50EUR so be prepared to be uppsold to 150EUR or 200EUR. In my oppinnion the Thai brothels are ok, but for most of the Reeperbahn the service/cost is a lot worse than in Amsterdam. The good thing about Reeperbahn is that in the evenings, especially on Fridays and Saturdays, the whole Reeperbahn is a huge party with much more people going out to have fun compared with Amsterdam RLD.

Amsterdam for me every time. Going from what I've heard anyway. Better still, Frankfurt and Antwerp is excellent too.

I've heard from multiple sources what Makelove says above. If in the Reeperbahn check out the Thai brothels because they may be the only places where you won't be ripped off. (For directions see map below).

at this point i think i will go along with Splodge and stick to Amsterdam or maybe Frankfurt.
I like visiting Hamburg and i don't want to worry about getting ripped off (which seems to be the norm).

If I were you, I'd go to Frankfurt. No contest. It's the best rld in Europe I say. And there's bonus rld too. Not just one excellent rld, but two!!!!! Beautiful city too with the best skyline in Europe . I'm totally in love with city. The women, food and beer too. It's rld is vast and stocked with all sorts of ladies. You also have Kino s which either have hookers working there, or random women getting shagged by everyone in the Kino . If you don't like Frankfurt, atleast you've been. If you're hungry, try the bratwurst and hot dog stand at the hbf , or the shop selling slices of gammon or steak in a roll. Both are in the hbf and the food is super nice.

I got two experiences in Reeperbahn. One from the Thai house, 35 Euros, asked at the start if I wanted extras and listed them and when I said no she was cool with it and didn't detract from the service. Decent and friendly girl but time ran out.

Went to the RLD window type street, got told by a German MILF dytime 50 Euros for everything. Once in and naked she started upselling and cost another 30 Euros or something for a rubbish BJ.

I got a bit put off with the Eros centres so didn't realy venture in. If given the chance it couldve been better. I like the window scene. Feels natural walking a street and spotting the girls from the comfort of the street and styff but I'm new to it all.

In my preference, the window scene is better, and in my experience, the window scene is where you'll get riped off in Hamburg. There were street girls saying 60 Euros for a threesome and stuff as it was mid week and not busy, but I dunno where they take you (they just said 'upstairs') and I didn't fancy taking the risk.
