Does anyone know where can I buy poppers in Amsterdam? They used to be plentiful but now seem to be outlawed. I assume under-the-counter purchases is still possible.

last time I checked they had different types of poppers.

Seeing this post made me think of poppers - might I ask what they are ? I'm a little embarrassed to admit (as one who considers himself somewhat worldly in the drug department) that I don't completely understand just what the substance is. I've been able to ascertain that they are/it is an inhaled intoxicant of some kind. I've really heard them mentioned here almost exclusively , and more often than not in relationship to a TS experience. Must be relaxing in all the right ways from the descriptions I've read in trip reports. Thnx for the info.

Tried once, was 16 and a girl known on the same night offered it to me.
After i took it she told me "now you're ready for anal".
Got quite disapponted when i realized it wasn't an offer.

Anyway, it's more like a pressure fall than what i would consider relaxing from my experience.

Poppers are amyl-nitrate. It is a vaso-dilator, meaning that inhaling it blows open your blood vessels and increases blood flow. Its main medical use is to revive heart attack patients.

I tried it once and did not know then what effect it was supposed to that. Afterwards I still did not know, while it had no effect on me at all.
