I was booked and scheduled to make a visit to Amsterdam next month for a 7 day visit. however due to circumstances I've had to cancel. I have now booked for the start of August. I am curious as to what Amsterdam conditions is going to be like during this period? it is hot/warm? plenty of sunshine? if anyone could give me an insight, as to what the conditions are usually like during this period as well as what Amsterdam is like during this particularly part of the season?

It's normally reasonably warm and sunny but like anywhere in Northern Europe it can piss it down with rain at fairly short notice!!

July and August are the warm months, maybe even hot some days (30's Celsius) but rain is always a possibility. Don't worry about it, any day is a great day to be in Amsterdam. I always bring a sweater just in case.

i've been in August twice. first time was relatively warm. second time it was hot. both times it pissed down with rain at some point most days!

Amsterdam can be very unpredictable , but August can be warm or very hot. Probably some rain thrown in for good measure too! However, its Amsterdam! So, you wil lstil havce a great time. Just wear layers.
