Ok, so I am looking ideally for when I visit for the considered favourite places to have a Breakfast? and good takeout's that kinda thing of a night?
I hear Greenhouse or Grennplace? (Really don't know) do a very good English breakfast etc. I enjoyed the courtesy of ''Hotel Old Quarter'' food last time and it was great, but I can't help but want to try other places and explore a bit.
I am not really sure as to what is a good budget to spend on food daily in Amsterdam? I was thinking 50euros on food? I eat relatively clean, yet boring food A LOT of the time, so 5 - 7 days in Amsterdam? = Pig out and eat a loada crap lol. with that being said I rarely have takeout's but when I do? I really do indulge £20 GBP on McDonalds = 24.20 in euros is a big cheat meal I like to have once a week.
So yeah... am open to any places/suggestions of places to eat? Argentinean steakhouse is appealing, anyone try?
Thanks.
P.s I was actually due to visit Amsterdam in 3 days but have had to re-schedule due to other arrangements. I am well and truly devastated:(

Greenhouse and Greenplace are coffeeshops, so wouldn't imagine you'd get a breakfast there (someone correct me if I'm wrong!)

Burger Bar or Wok to Walk has some good food for a decent price..
If your looking cheap.. you might be able to eat at a hotel or hostel for breakfast.. or mcdonalds lol
You can walk right into St. Christophers "Belushi Bar" and get breakfast and other food
I would stay away from kebab/gyro places..as that's what got me sick when I was there.
You can always make a cheap eat out of the little fish stands they have scattered throughout.. get a soft drink and a raw herring sandwhich w/ pickles and onions..good stuff!!

Dont know if this post is too late...
I back coolwhips suggestion of burger bar and wok to walk, they are very good and close to the RLD. I always have them when in Ams. Also, burgers at The Butcher in Albert Cuypstraat are very good. If your into steak, you can go to Gauchos in Reguliersbreestraat, tried the place in one of my visits and the steak was pretty good.
