Hey all,

Does anyone else experience this? At the end of the trip I reflect and think "that will probably be the last time, at least for a long while" and "need to put my family life etc first before I have another trip"...

But then after a few weeks I get that niggling feeling that I need to rebook and before long I find myself looking at the KLM website for potential dates!

This has been happening recurrently for a good few years now, please tell me that I'm not the only one! :P

This is very familiar to me.
Usually find myself thinking, fuck this, on my way to Central Station.
This will be the LAST time I come here.
Two or three weeks later, I'm scouring the sites looking to book up again.

Sounds like addiction to me.
Intervention?

I've booked another trip within two weeks of getting home after every one of my trips so far.

I think the biggest impact has been on dating. I keep telling myself I'm gonna go on more dating sites and take this more seriously, try to meet someone nice, but after my next trip. Wouldn't want to be meeting a nice girl while I have a trip booked, after all, that's an awkward conversation right there. Then, I get home and book another one right away, so I always have one coming up. Luckily, none of the girls I've dated recently have stuck around long enough for it to be an issue yet.

I'm thinking next one after this one coming up, maybe in October or November, and that'll be it for a while.

Of course, I say this now...

You guys aren't even close to addicted!
I look at property when I visit.
As soon as my last kid is off to college, I'm ready to get a small place, and spend 4-6 months a year.
I don't think about my last trip when I leave.
I think "One day soon, my bagage will be a toothbrush and underwear. Everything else will be in MY closet, in MY room in MY place!"

Yeah, I have http://www.funda.nl in my favourites.
I've been to a few open houses.
By UK standards, you don't get much for your money though.
Your talking close to €300k for something acceptable.

Have you all beat. I actually did buy a place in Amsterdam. Right on the water. Got it when prices are cheaper. I do love it there but it might be time for a change to a warmer climate. Let's face it you can get weed anywhere now and the RLD seems less fun then it used to be. The government could be winning.

The only thing I am finding restrictive at the moment is cost...

Flights in the summer from where I live in the UK to AMS = £160 return
Hotel for 2 nights = £350+

Thats before I've even seen 1 girl! Compared to the UK I can see an escort for around £100 an hour.

But it is the city that tempts me... But I think I shall try to wait until the Winter again until I head out.

It's a beautiful city, one of the best in the world. The canals and scenery are wonderful. Lots of museums, culture and different places to see/do even before you get to the RLD. Best time to visit the RLD in my opinion isin the evening. Gets too crowded later at night and you can end up getting lost in the shuffle.

I've been thinking about it. I hate Toronto and I've been thinking for a while it might be time for a change of scenery. It's just the fact that I don't drive, the fact that everyone I know is here (and I only know sex workers in Amsterdam), and my business being here that's stopping me, really.

Cost-wise, it wouldn't be too bad. Prices seem somewhat comparable to Toronto, here 500k'll get you a shitty townhouse way out in the suburbs, or a tiny, poorly-built condo. I think I'd likely actually get something much nicer over there than I'd get here for the same money. All the idiots swarming into Toronto and snatching up all the shitty condos have really fucked up the housing market over here.

I do kinda think that living in Amsterdam might kinda ruin it for me. All those other countries being easily accessible by train would be pretty cool, though.

I also think I'd be 500 pounds and flat broke within a year if I lived in Amsterdam.

Been living in Amsterdam for four years now and been moving around (Utrecht, Rotterdam, The Hague, Leiden, Haarlem, Zandvoort, Volendam, Delft...) and I think it's a really mediocre country.

-The only thing they beat most countries is the access to culture (meaning buying books and going to museums, only). After that...
-No public healthcare
-no food culture
-not many pop concerts
-going out is expensive (either going to a club or simply having lunch or dinner, and though the quality of the food can be good, it doesn't justify the price)
-the people in the AMS area are so dry they verge on the nasty
-bicycles are their form of terrorism
-the city is average-looking compared to the big ones I mentioned earlier
-I haven't had a cell phone contract for two years because they asked me for a passport when I don't need it as I'm an EU citizen and I don't need it to move around the EU countries,
-public transportation can be also expensive
-and it's quite difficult to save money, due to taxes.

This year I'll have to pay the income tax of 2015 in monthly payments (that means, even before earning anything, new thing for freelancers here, like me) as well as the income tax of 2014 and only with that I'll have to pay, at the very least, 15,000€ and thank god some of my clients are from abroad so I don't pay the VAT/BTW from them...

All I've just said is the same many Germans, English, Spanish, French, Russians, Irish, Italians, Austrians, Australians and some Americans have told me.

I'm only staying here as I'm close to Germany and I'm trying to open a work path related to Germany, and I save money travelling there...

Even the Dutch sex professionals leave a bit to be desired, specially in terms of cleanliness. And yeah, I also mean the most well-known in here. Sorry if that seems harsh but the same way everyone here is clear and forthright about the Rip-Offs, I want to be clear about that as well.

If someone's interested, to disccus it, please PM me.

Ta!

I Just booked my 14th trip...I always go somewhere else to make excuses for my colleagues as to why I always go to Europe. This year is Poland. But I always find time to go into Germany to visit the FKKs. I love the weed and the women. Feel like I haven't had a good stay lately as I go longer usually I.e.
Sat trip was three days...so going for seven days this time...four at the start and three at the end.

Hi,

That's a curious statement. I mean that from all the dutch professionals I've met, NONE, i say clearly NONE had cleanliness issues and it absolutely didn't ruin the session. All the girls I've met who were and still are (they are alive, thank God) dutch were all freshen up before each session, very clean, even all dashing, perfumed, etc.

I'm very surprised to read that.

Yeah, I can't really think of any times where cleanliness was ever an issue for me. Every girl I've been with in Amsterdam has been quite fastidious about hygiene. I'm sure it probably does happen, there are probably some girls who leave something to be desired in this regard, but I haven't personally encountered it.

It's very hard to get a residence permit if you're not a EU citizen. Not impossible but very, very hard.

Yes, even the not so nice sex workers seem to be careful about cleaning and such.

Dewey06,

"Bicycles are their form of terrorism"
Nice! So true.
I'm sure that every city gets old with time. I've always appreciated the size and scale of Amsterdam.
Not many major cities are as easy to get across. Berlin is nearly 80 miles across now! There are, thankfully, no plans to tear down Amsterdam's center to buid a few dozen steel and glass bank buildngs.
Costs are as bad as any big city in Europe, maybe a little worse. Taxes suck everywhere, and Americans now get the priveledge of having their European accounts monitored by the IRS, whether they live in the US or not.
I still find Amsterdam comfortable, and that means a lot to me.
If you are interested in cheap, have you considered Oklahoma? How about Arkansas, or west Texas?

Issue with cleanliness turns sometimes into something mental, like for example the paper wrapped around the shaft before a BJ that some girls are providing (at standard price). It could be hilarious if taken with humor, but for the price it costs it's not at all. From the moment the paper is out it means that we're dealing with a big issue then, and the girl is in 99% of cases a rip off artist.

The no fingering is another pb, i wouldn't consider it as a rip off sign, but most certainly as an hygiene issue : girls are afraid of long dirty nails and so the best way to avoid anything wrong is to say no to fingering, light touching maybe, but I note that even good providers do not allow light touching at 50 €.

Most of the girls were very clean when i was with them, I was even witness of some nice make up sessions and talked a lot about lingerie, perfume with some of them.

Not sure If I should give names of professionals, but Famke is the exception of what I said: clean, fresh, always takes a while to get ready for the next client while I dressed up again... Apart from the fact she is fucking charming... The other one that strikes me as super worried for cleanliness is German Kim (who by the way, I haven't seen in her usual room for the last six weeks.)

But really, I'm not saying it for nothing. In my case I always thoroughly shower before going to the RLD and even once in a room I wash hands and make a check up on my organs. Two of the Dutch girls I know (and we all know,) never seem as worried as I am.

As for the rest of stuff I have talked about it's not about cheapness, it's about being comfortable. And I'm not in The Netherlands. I've realized that many of the compatriots who told me coming here was a no-brainer are not specially demanding, nor appreciate the good in our native country (which apart from the economy, is virtually the rest). It's not that the Netherlands are hell, but I honestly think it's really an overrated country. Been living in Spain, France, Italy, Belgium and a short stint in Dublin and I had no trouble adapting to all those places (because I have really really really really clear that it's ME who has to adapt to the place).

I just talked about my experience, nothing else! DOn't mean to offend anyone, be sure of that!
