After 14 years of visiting Amsterdam the Euro is almost back to the rates in early 2002. Great for tourism but not great for the markets. Its now 33% less than one year ago. I am due after all the years of $1.40-$1.65.

More Euro-ho's for the Girls

It's pretty sweet. The Canadian dollar is dropping like a stone nowadays too, so it doesn't benefit me as much as Americans, but even still, I got my Euros for this upcoming trip at 1.34 instead of 1.46 like last trip, so I'm a happy guy.

Got a few hundred more Euros to line my pockets, and I'm sure the girls'll be happy about that.

Yeah, I'll be visiting in June. I'm thinking of buying some Euros before I go. I'll wait to see if it gets even with the Dollar, then I'll buy 1000. My luck it'll probably drop to 75 cents the day after I do. Ah well it would still be better than the $1.50 or so that I paid last time. :)

Europe is on sale, and I am going to shop until I drop!

great news..heading out on the 21st to the Dam and can't be more happier about the falling Euro.... of course it's nothing like when it was the 80's and they were using guilders.. I recall it being 50 guilders back then which was about US$25. of course, with inflation, that was quite a bit compared to todays rate..
