Well im English from the UK, and me and my mates have missed out on a holiday this year, but were thinking of maybe going to Amsterdam and just generally getting pissed, and what not, heheeh.

Now were all 21-22, im 21, and ive been reading a fair bit on the RLD, and i would like to go. Im not a virgin, but it's been a while since my last g/f, lol and i just want some some sex, doh. Thing is i can't see me, or my mates going up to windows's and stuff like that and choosing a girl or w/e.

Would we be better off with Brothels? The escort service sounds nice to me, but it's very expensive i think?

Im not shy, it just seems a little scary lol, mainly being in a public street.

Or should i just stop being a pussy and get some pussy?:D

Also whats the policy on alchohol and the weed? Can you only consume it in pubs/cafe's or can you walk around with it?

Id also appreciate some good reviews, or something of people who have been to the RLD, and stuff.

Dont be shy in the red light dist mate everyone else is in the same boat out for the same thing.What me an my mates do is split up and arange to meet in a bar an hour later, not that were shy about it if anyone seen a girl they want they just go for it,but i find splitting up makes it easier you can walk and investigate at your own pace until you find what your looking for without being rushed along whilst someone else looks for what suits them. Once you go in and get the nerves over with you wont look back beleive me ;-).

Got to agree with what Stuarty is saying mate, just go for it. I guarentee that once you walk round the RLD amd see some of the beauties on show you wont be able to resist. I aint joking when i say that some of them are stunning. Just remember and check out the device before you go. Remember and not to have too much to drink or it may be a waste of money as well if you know what i mean. What me and my mates normally do is walk about for a while as a group and check out all the girlsand then decide to go for a walk ourselves to get a girl and arrange a meeting place at a certain time

I, too, agree with the “go for it” and “split-up” advice. Let me offer my perspectives on another of your questions…let me call it “Fun 101” (one man’s perspectives on herb etiquette, booze, rules of the road, etc.):

* You can purchase and smoke at any coffeeshop where you buy weed from without buying anything else such as a drink

*You can smoke herb you’ve bought elsewhere, as long as you buy something else (i.e., a drink)

*Not all coffeeshops sell alcohol/beer…do dome investigating prior if both are important

* While smoking (herb) outside of coffeeshops won’t get you in big trouble (as long as you’re cool about it), use common courtesy…if you’re in a big crowd of tourists, refrain, but if you’re enjoying a nice afternoon in Vondelpark and others are partaking, go for it

* If you’re in a bar that isn’t a coffeeshop, feel free to ask if it’s OK to smoke herb. I’ve found that many will allow, as long as the vibe is right

* If you buy a pre-rolled joint, it will be mixed with tobacco…just be prepared

* If you aren’t into rolling joints, buy a cheap pipe and take it with you throughout your trip and toss it when you leave (in a sort-of sacrificial ritual)

* Research the shops (and the ladies) on this site a lot before arriving…many an unprepared tourist have landed at the Grasshopper, never to realize the error in their ways (commentary)

* If you do buy a drink and take it to a table, return the empty glass to the bar when you go to get your next drink, or leave the bar...this may seem silly, but it goes a long way in earning/showing respect (something that I find is always important when traveling)
