Gentlemen...I am arriving on the third of October for trip #12. I'm 37 now and have a lot more expedible income for nicer accomodations, and restaurants. I always seemed to spend my extra money on the ladies. Here is a list of restaurants that I have researched and selected to go to on my visit. I made a Dinner list and a lunch list. The only problem is that I have selected too many restaurants for the amount of nights I am staying. Your comments and opinions will help me wittle the list down for eight lunch spots, and 8 dinner spots. Thanks in advance...Hornacho
In no particular order...I dont drink wine, food opinions only please. Thanks
Dinner: 1.Akitsu...Japaneese/sushi 8.Jean-Jean
2.Bloesem 9.Lieve
3.Brasserie Harkema 10.Senz Brasserie
4.De Belhamel 11.Vamos A Ver
5.De Struisvogel 12.Vooges
6.De Witte Uyl 13.Zomers
7.Dining Eleven
Lunch: 1.Cafe De jaren 7.Hein
2.Cafe De Prins 8.Seven Steps
3.Cafe Poef 9.Small World
4.De Shutter
5.Dolores Snackbar
6.Foodism

Your lists contain only one restaurant that made the list of 28 establishments reviewed in "Cool Restaurants Amsterdam". That would be Brasserie Harkema. Of course, "cool" and "good food" may have nothing to do with each other. But doesn't ambiance count for something?

I would recommend that you add or substitute.............

Cafe Roux in the Grand (part of the Roux brothers from France) as well as Vermeer in the Barbizon and Sluizer on Utrecthsestraat for fish. An alternative would be the Bark near the Cocertgebouw. Both very fine. The Garage is excellent when it hits, but just okay when it doesn't. Regards. Roland
