I stay at the winston all the time.
You can't ask for a better location in the RD.
Not the kind of rooms you want to hang in all day but well run none the less.
There is a very busy club down stairs.
Room 505 has an excellent veiw and is relativly quit.
Enjoy

hi
i been going to a'dam for about 10 years and until earlier this year had always stayed there.
they was fully booked when i travelled in the summer so tried another hotel almost within crawling distance from there (just by the Grasshopper)..
it's called THE FRISCO INN
It is very very clean and modern...all rooms have very clean modern bathroom, remote tv's and nice comfortable beds......
and as a bonus....they serve breakfast all day and ALL of the food we tried was very very good and the friendly staff were great.......

How much did you pay at the Frisco Inn? I've stayed at the Winston a few times and don't have any major complaints, but for a little more, I've stayed at much nicer places in A'dam. Only thing you need to be concerned with in A'dam is a room on the 3rd floor facing the street the entrance is on. I had a room this summer that had these "peep" hole faux walls built and I couldn't get any of my power cords to fit in the plugs; it was a pain in the ass. Good luck & let me know about the Frisco Inn.

If there are a few of you, you could do better than the Winston for the money. I have stayed there many times for single room as it is cheap.
Once, 4 of us stayed in a room, and were disappointed. Check out 3* if there are at least two of you. Winston is 2* but at 3* prices for groups in my opinion.
