No, not in the canals.
I want to find a pool. A good one with a steam and sauna. I''ve been in the Hotel Victoria, and it was great after a long flight. Now I am hooked, but I want a full size pool. It doesn't have to be in a hotel. I'd actually prefer a local pool. Any advice on Zwembaden?

There is one south at Museumplein called Zuiderbad (across the street from the fire-station next to the Rijks) as well as one west on Marnixstraat. I'd choose Zuiderbad as it has a great fountain inside, but hey that is me.
Just as an aside the Hema mall (near the Munt) used to be a swimming pool/bath house before it was converted to retail. Regards. Roland

I already have enough activities planned to shrivel my wiener, so I will pass on the outdoor swim in winter.
Roland, any info on the one on Marnixstraat? I'm staying in the Jordaan, so that location is perfect.

If you walk down Marnixstraat from the top it is about 4 blocks down on the right hand side. Can't miss it. Regards. Roland

The Hotel Victoria right acxroos the street from Centraal Station has a pool in its health club. Never been there though.
