Hi All,

Feedback please on the City Hotel near Centraal Station. It's a very cheap deal but wondering what the catch is.

Thanks

Quim

Watch out for the rooms without elevator access. Make sure you stay in the main building or you will be in for a surprise.

If the alternative is the Vijava, should I cancel my reservation, then?

Don't mind paying an extra 30 Euros for the 2 nights.

I've stayed at both hotels, and wouldn't recommend paying more for the Vijaya. Both offer pretty basic accommodation, but the City Hotel is a bit quieter and is only a short walk farther from the RLD.

If you're talking about the Prins Hendrik I would not recommend it at all

cleaning staff knocking constantly on the door in the morning, despite being told to go away
wifi access that only works on the ground floor (I was on the top floor)

and other tings etc..

There is the "City Hotel" on Prins Hendrikkade. Then there is the "Prins Hendrik"
hotel. On the same street, but an all together different hotel, across from Centraal Station.

I have stayed at the Prins Hendrik several times. I have found it better than the other
3*'s in the area. Good breakfast in the attached restaurant. Whether I would stay there
again depends on the price/value situation at the time. Maid service does not take no for
an answer, this is a negative.
