Costa Rica Tica Party from the Sportsmans Lodge. A fine selection of Ticas, Nicas, and Chicas! Was going to post some more explicit pics but didn't want to ruffle any feathers. Hotel Del Rey and Key Largo are the two buildings. Other pic of San Jose was from my hotel room at the Holiday Inn. Great parties over the years until the local press started to focus on "middle aged Americans coming to San Jose to monger" Had to go more low key after that. Shame!

What is the difference between a Tica, Nica, and Chica? What's the protocol for getting into one of these parties, and then getting into one of these girls? Thanks for the pics!

Wow, that looks great, but shame that I don't speak any Spanish...or is there any chance of doing well there speaking only English?

These parties are thrown by Costa Rica Ticas www.costaricaticas.com and usually fall on Labor Day weekend.

Ticas = Girls from Costa Rica

Nicas = Girls from Nicaragua

Chicas= Girls from Mexico or most Latin Countries

If you are a member of Costa Rica Ticas I recall some kind of discount. The parties are generally held in the Sportsman's Lodge. Great day trips to the beach (Jaco), Zip lines, ATV, Horseback, Rain Forrest,,etc.

Hola Quatro Viente:
Nothing like a few photos of CR’s finest to get people’s attention…well done!
(Oh yeah…Happy belated birthday to you.)

I’m a bit surprised that you stayed in at the Hilton…I didn’t think that the Hilton was Chica Friendly. Musta been the Rewards Points…

Posting the link to CRT is a good idea…The site is a wealth of information for the novice as well as veteran monger in Costa Rica. (Kinda like the Ignatzmice of Costa Rica)

The chicas always enjoy the parties…Labor Day or Superbowl at Sportsman’s…and don’t forget Halloween at the Del Rey…great fun.

Makelove…Speaking Spanish is not a “must” in CR…but like most countries, a couple of words like please, thank you and how much, will be of help. The Sportsman’s Lodge is a great place for the first time visitor. Plenty of like-minded guys…many of whom don’t speak any Spanish…which is why most girls at Sportsman’s can speak a bit of English.

Also, only girls that have been approved by the management/owners are allowed into the Sportsman’s. Much different at the Del Rey…AKA The Shark Tank…where any chica with a valid cedula (ID card) can gain entrance.

So…more women at Del Rey and Key Largo (Dance Club across from Del Rey)…But, you have to be careful when conducting interviews because there are plenty of scammers working here.
Any girl that tries to take advantage at Sportsman’s is shown the door.
Consider this…A girl that gets the boot from Sportsman’s always goes back to Del Rey to work.
That said…my finest scores have come from the Del Rey…just need to be up front about what you want and how much you are willing to pay.

Time for a Pearl O’ Wisdom…Never go with the first girl that approaches you…Never.

Neuro…Parties at the Sportsman’s or Del Rey are very social…Talk to and drink with the girls until you find one or two that you like…Ask them if they want to join you in your room…No Bar Fine or anything like that. They will typically respond by asking for $100 (for an hour).

SVU…Here is where many CR mongers disagree. Many guys will say “Never pay $100…no more than $60.” But I am in the group that prefers a different style of negotiation rather than the Low-Ball approach. Sure, you may be able to talk her down to $60, but your session will be quick and mechanical...such a waste.

If I’m trying a girl for the first time…I will offer $80 plus a $20 propina (tip) if we have fun together.

For longer sessions with girls I know…She wants $100…I get it…So, I will say yes to the $100…As long as she is OK with staying two hours…OWO…and Multiple shots. This way, we both get what we want.

Once, we’re in agreement, step outside and grab a taxi back to the hotel. If you’re staying at either Sportsman’s or Del Rey…you just wisk them to the elevator and up to the room. (Sportsman’s is a nice place to stay…But I don’t recommend staying at Del Rey…you have to pay the hotel a fee for every girl you take up to your room…that can add up!)

Pearl O’ Wisdom #2…Always pay after you’re done…never before. Nothing wrong with leaving the money in sight on the dresser as a show of faith. But if you pay before, it will be one of your quicker sessions…I’ve made that mistake a time or two.

I added 2 photos from my last visit in January. Two very cool girls.

I should be back in CR this September…Happy to meet up for a beer and conversation.

By the way 420, like the Green House tee shirt...way to represent!

Nastarovia!

Alelover thank you for these words of wisdom.... (:

I have already marked this thread to a folder. Amsterdam is gotten quite expensive these days

with the horrible exchange rate we have had to endure for years now. So I was looking for an alternative

destination . Being as though I am partial to Latinas ; CR seemed a logical choice.

I totally agree with your bargaining strategy ! I would rather let the girl know I'm not haggling and could be

a regular if her performance is exceptional , rather than nickel and dime her. Then she thinks I'm a dick

and her performance will reflect that. Awesome pics by the way. I might be down there in 2014.

What are the "good" months to go . September ?

Best times to visit are in fall and winter months before the rainy season (summer)

It's been a few years since I have visited CR but if you like Latina women, good weather and reasonable prices this is a great option,

Sorry to bump an old thread but for those interested Costa Rica is pretty damn awesome. Me and a buddy went to Jaco in July and if there is a bigger sin city type place i wanna check it out. We got good weed, super hot ticas, and although its not my thing, my buddy got cocaine for 20$ a gram which is apparently retarded cheap and it was the best shit ever. Inthe future maybe I will check out sportmans & delray etc in San Jose but Jaco was pretty badass. Also just an fyi if you are looking for drugs this is key advice. ASK THE GRINGOS!! The locals will not robyou or beat you up in my experience but they will rip you off and sell you a small bag for a stupid price and smile saying pura vida while they fuckyou over haha. Not rly bad ppl just trust me, gringos will help you out.

Beetle Bar is the weekend getaway for the girls from San Jose,,and yes,,some are on the run so be careful as always.

When we were in Jaco there was a lot of advertising for a so called "Vegas Style" casino they are almost done building (I cannot remember the name). If it is really as nice as described I may have to go back at some point. The casinos there now are kind of small and they have a fake dumb version of blackjack. I actually won money when I played there but the odds were worse than standard blackjack. Hopefully the new place will have a sportsbook, craps, blackjack etc...
