I have been looking to visit Sheri's Ranch in Pahrump, Nevada and would like to know if anyone has been there and what are their thoughts on the place?

1. Be prepared to spend lots of $$$$$$$$$$

2. They don't tell the customer prices until your in the room with the girl. (translation) They size you up to see how much they can take advantage.

I've been to two brothels in Nevada, Sheri's Ranch near Vegas in Pahrump and the Sagebrush Ranch in Carson City. Sheri's is definitely the nicer of the two places with hotter women overall and a nice bar/restaurant so that you could relax for a bit and have a decent meal. I spent $900 at Sheri's and $650 at the Sage, for no-rush CBJ and CFS at each place. Enjoyed myself tremendously at Sheri's and have no complaints.

When you're interested in a girl at these legal brothels, the two of you go to a private room (in my case the lady's bedroom) to discuss price. Don't get discouraged if a lady throws out a large number at you...she's expecting you to negotiate costs to get it to where you feel comfortable. There are guys who go to these places and drop $10,000 like it's nothing and guys who pay much less than I did - it depends on what you want to do (anal usually costs more, for example) and how long you want to do it.

But whenever I think of mongering in Nevada, I always think about the Nick Broomfield documentary 'Chicken Ranch' from the 1980s, and the reality tv show 'Gigolos'.

My limited experience was that these are $200/hr working girls who will quote 3 or 4 times that, and won't settle for anything less than twice that. They can get away with it because (1) it's a pain to get there so guys are reluctant to say "no thanks" and head back to LV (2) it's a narrow window of opportunity for risk averse types who would be afraid to break the law elsewhere and (3) there is a steady stream of gambling winners who will consider overpriced sex as free because they are paying out of their winnings.

These places sound appealing because they are legal, but you pay a lot more than you would if you hire better looking escorts back to your room in Vegas...

Be aware there are a lot of ripoffs around escort agencies in Vegas. But there are some good ones, find U.S. escort review sites and see what they say about agencies or independent providers.

dude, just save yourself lots of money and go a massage parlor or aroma therapy place...I had my first experience here in California and haven't been disappointed..and it costs much less than Nevada's legal hookers..you just have to know how to play the game..

I agree that Nevada, by and large, is overpriced and probably not worth it as far as mongering goes. That said, I do kind of like the Nevada brothel vibe. It's kinda like being a VIP in an old-timey old west brothel. You kinda feel like Hugh Heffner for a few hours. I have found the service in the brothels to be pretty good overall. I'll do it every now and then if I'm in Vegas and I want a little fun. Haven't been to Sheri's yet, but it's on my list.

Here's a tip to save yourself some money: the girls live at the brothels when they're working and give up a fairly high percentage of what they make to the house. I know at the Bunny Ranch, they take 50%, at the Chicken Ranch, a girl told me they take 80%. Can't 100% vouch for those numbers, but that's what I've been told. The thing is, though, if you tip a girl, they get to keep that, plus a lot of the girls seem to hate their boss and will jump at the opportunity to fuck them over. So, here's the thing; if a girl asks for 1000.00, she's looking to personally make 200.00 (assuming the 80% thing is true), so instead, offer to pay her, say, 200.00 and tip her 200.00. She makes more money (200.00 + 20% of 200.00 as opposed to just 200.00) and you save a ton. The only one who loses is the house, and most girls are more than ok with that.

In my experience, the girls will almost always go for this offer. You'll have to do a little negotiating of course if you don't know the exact rates that the particular establishment you are at takes from the girls, but if you can offer them more money that goes straight into their pocket, they'll almost always take it.

That's a clever gambit! Pretty specific to LV (or Nevada more generally), but it sounds like it is effective. Thing is, in the example you're still paying $400/hr. It's still expensive.

True, it is still expensive, as I said, it's mostly overpriced and it's not something I do regularly, it's just kind of fun to do on occasion. Keep in mind, though, you can negotiate them down a bit before dropping an offer on them. Usually, I find they'll start at 1k/hr, but you can usually get them down to 500.00 pretty easily, them offer them 100/100.

I've managed to get 4 hour sessions with the best looking girls in the place for around 1000.00 total before, including use of a VIP bungalow and some free drinks. Still pricey, but much more reasonable overall.
