For those of us who scour the free - or almost free - travel options (MrLynn, tenSeeker....this is my poor attempt at giveback!), look what I found:

"oneworld and Deutsche Bahn, Europe's largest railway operator, have teamed up to offer more destinations and travel options. Our combined air and train tickets extend our networks to offer travel connections within Germany and to other popular destinations like Zurich, Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam."

This means that you can potentially use AA miles to fly into Frankfurt and take the ICE to Amsterdam - all with frequent flyer miles. I'll really have to check into this for my next trip - I still have 60K AA miles to play with. This could mean a somewhat extended European trip on the ICE... :)
