I always shave my balls, pubes and underarm hair before going to RLDs and before any sexual activity. However, it is very time consuming, takes a lot of effort and often stings quite a lot. I have also given myself small cuts on many occasions whilst doing this.

Does anyone have any tips or advice about shaving for men?

I'd venture a guess that the vast majority of men, RLD visitors or otherwise, have never applied a razor anywhere other than their faces. I could be wrong.

I can't understand why you would shave your underarm hair. Just shower, use some deodorant and forget about it. You're making a reasonable effort to be clean, she's not licking up there (is she?) and, you know, you are paying her after all, so why worry so much?

Assuming you're serious, here's my advice: Make it a policy to keep sharp objects away from your genitals and other sensitive areas. Invest in a cheap beard trimmer. Stand in the bathtub, give your twig and berries the once over so that the hair is very short but still present (unless your girl has some sort of fucked up schoolboy fantasy, in which case methinks she ought to be paying you). This technique is more than sufficient and I've never once gotten the "paper towel routine" after applying it. Get some wet toilet tissue, wipe up the cuttings to prevent them from clogging the drain. Then go to the RLDs and have fun.

I am serious, I always shave myself bald because I have excessive hair and a small(ish) penis.

If I didn't shave, I think the RLD girls would struggle to find the small snake in the jungle if you get my drift...

Plus, I think it's a matter of personal preference, hygiene and cleanliness. I enjoy sex a lot more when I am clean shaven.

I find it to be worth the effort. Better sensitivity and skin-to-skin contact. It does require patience! The nicks happen when you hurry. I usually like to shave 2 weeks prior to arrival. Gives the nicks time to heal, and what little has grown back stops itching and softens just enough...

LADS............... May i suggest you all treat yourselfs to a BACK -SACK -N CRACK... !! its the best way.

I haven't shaved my pubic area the last few times I've been.. previously I'd razor shave my plums and use the beard trimmer on the pubes above my little fella. Now though, I just grab tufts of overgrown foliage and snip it with the little scissors I have... same with my goolies... just grab and snip. That way, the hair is nice and short (no more than 1mm on my sack and a few mm on the upper pubes). It's good enough for a close encounter down there, so long as you're freshly showered at all times.

Underarm shaving is just showing off now, isn't it? :P

Hi,I allways use 'veet',chuck it on and wait 7 minutes then shower.......all gone.
DON'T, I REPEAT.......DON'T. leave it on too long,I did the 1st time and wow sore or what.
other times no problem.just take notice of the instructions.
I must say the ladies do appreciate it (or so they say)

Bluto - I may be disappointing you here, but I do often shave or Veet (for men) my underarms fairly regularly, also do my shoulders and back on a more infrequent basis. As for down below, I use a hair trimmer to keep it respectably maintained! ;-)

Davey - word of warning, re: using scissors, whatever you do concentrate, I used to do that when I was younger, and one time did it when rather stoned, and snipped one of my sacks by accident, christ, it bled for so long, and was sore for ages after! Not good.

I always shave my body hair too from my armpits to chest hairs all the way down to my private area.

Girls seem to prefer guys who look after themselves, are clean and completely shaven.

Hi...long-time lurker...not sure if this is my first post but I rarely post. Anyway, got back from a trip a couple of months ago and the info on this board was invaluable...thanks to all who took, and continue to take, the time to write up their experiences for the benefit of us newbies.

I'm an older gent, in his mid 40s, and I'd never really considered trimming or shaving on a continuing basis before getting out from under the rock I'd been living under and finding out that it was considered part of the grooming standard for gents these days.

Anyway. I shave my crotch with a Norelco Bodygroom, it's a lot less scary than wielding a razor blade near my 'nads. It's also safe for trimming all the way back to, and around, your starfish, even if you don't have the benefit of a mirror. It's a wet-or-dry model, so you can use it in the shower, and cleaning it is very easy, as the foil head pops right out. If trimming to a short length rather than complete depilation is your thing, the BodyGroom also comes with a set of blade guards so you can trim to a fixed length.

It's a rechargeable, the US model comes with a universal voltage charger so all you need is a physical adapter for the Schuko plug and you're good to go. (But if you do buy one, check the charger before you try it--manufacturers are notorious for changing the specs on this stuff without notice.)

It really does seem to work, shaving almost all your hair off from your private area does indeed make your penis seem bigger. It is also much cleaner and girls prefer it much more. They are grateful that you have taken the time to look after yourself and to accustom yourself with the vital, modern, male-grooming techniques.

For shaving the important areas, I recommend a blase razor just like the one the ladies use on their legs. Use it often. Never a nick. And the girls like the fact their is no dental floss when they are do the suck part of S & F.

i too have snipped my bollocks with the hamfisted scissor technique! haha i (literally) feel your pain on this issue. the best thing i find is to use a clippers razor you'd use to cut your own hair (just wash it before you trim your head with it haha) and then razor-smooth the ol' ballsack. if you do this a cupla days before you head out by the time you leave the hairs will be all soft again but nice and short. you'd be hard pressed to cut yourself with a hair clippers.

don't be tempted by the scissors, yes it's quick and easy but it often leaves patches where you've just grabbed lumps of hair, and you could end up losing a bollock lol

Ouch fellas!

I have just spent the last 25 minutes shaving my pubes and balls.

I use an electronic shaver (which I only use for my private areas) to get rid of most of the hair.

I then use a Gillette razor and shaving foam to get a closer shave on my balls and pubic area.

To finish, I use some Johnson's baby powder for a nice smooth, textured finish.

After all that, I spray some Calvin Klein Eternity for men on that area and I'm all done!

Thats just too much. Some girls do lick your balls, and I don't know if they like the heavy taste of alchohol, I mean you don't wanna drink eau de toilette or after shave either, do you? Stick with chocolate, you know girls love chocolate. ;)
