In the Red Light Districts of Amsterdam you will find, on any given day, hundreds of girls offering sex for money. Nowhere else on earth are the women so straightforwardly on display, sitting sparingly attired on stools behind windows. Nowhere else except in the other main Dutch cities, because this conspicuous window prostitution is distinct to the Netherlands, as distinct as the habit that many... [Read more]

The train is coming!
The (female) driver of this Zolle-Leeuwarden train forgot her microphone was on. And lucky for the Internets, a passenger recorded this moment of Dutch National Railways (NS) entertainment.
Happy happy forum quips
Agnieszka apparently was having an off day, as ladies (and gents, too!) sometimes do:
Amsterman: I know if i had to shag some-one that looked like me i'd be pissed off too!
Davey1800: Mate, if I had to shag someone that resembled me, I would hurl myself off a cliff! :)
'Merca, the little
Matt Lauer's (NBC-Today Show, April 29) Amsterdam tour with Dutch TV presenter Twan Huys drew a foaming-at-the-mouth reponse from some conservative commentator who claimed Huys had belittled the U.S.A. The "belittling" comment made by Twan Huys during his time with Matt Lauer was this: "Social climate is very good and there's not like, in your country, 40, 50 million people who have no insurance."
A quick Google look-up says 47 millions (nchc.org 2005). It's fucking true. What is the matter with these webtards like Geoffrey Dickens who "expose liberal media", that they find offense in a statement like that?? It's not that "Merca is being "belittled", it's that it has become so "little", thanks to the efforts of the many people like this.

Amsterdam on top
Although we seeth with disgust at the many changes, both proposed or in-progress, wrought upon the city by Herr Cohen, Ass-cher, business interests, real estate interests, and the other various greedy power monkeys of the ruling elites, Amsterdam is still a good place to live, in fact it's the best city in the Netherlands. It says so here.
Fiction and plagiarism at Lonely Planet
Thomas Kohnstamm, a writer for Lonely Planet, claims he's fabricated or plagiarized material for dozens of cities, one of which he has never even visited. No surprises there, as we've often felt that guidebooks have little basis in reality, in particular guidebooks on the fair city of Amsterdam! Christ! Kohnstamm says that "even on a good day, a fair amount of what ends up in a guidebook is arbitrary and therefore people shouldn't necessarily treat them as gospel". Of course Kohnstamm is also currently promoting his new book about how he made stuff up for Lonely Planet...
