Google new red light zone in the UK and you'll see more info come up. Will try to get a link posted. Hopefully more and better organised areas will be set up. This is only street prostitution but it's a start hopefully .

I found this along the map of UK RLDs, although presumably only the one in Leeds is legal at this time.

If someone can confirm the precise location of the legal zone in Leeds I'll add it to my map linked in my signature below.

Hi Splodge/Neurosynth,

The Red Light Area is in the Holbeck area of Leeds - a couple of minutes drive from the city centre

I was working in Leeds a couple of weeks ago and decided to have a drive through the Red Light Area on my way home.

This was approx 9pm. There were approx half a dozen girls hanging around. As it was dark, it was hard to see the quality of the girls. I didn't have any sessions with the girls as i'm not into street-hookers so i've no idea what the prices were like.

As it is a "managed" area, there were police visible in the the area and no doubt will have had anpr camera's just in case of any trouble.

A map of the area is included in the attached link

http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/news/latest-news/top-stories/managed-red-light-district-in-leeds-hailed-a-success-1-7388043

Thanks
Liam

It's a legal zone. So I'm assuming that people won't be done for kerb crawling? Silly question I know
.yes neuro. It's the only legal one in the UK but more cities wish to do the same.

Hey thanks Liam, I can't do it at this very moment, but I *will* add this to the map below.

Splodge, comparing the map you linked to to the one I linked above I see that the new managed area is near, but not the same as, the presumably old illegal one.

But that older map *does* have areas outlined for other cities as well.

But I don't blindly put stuff on my map, I try to find multiple unrelated agreeing sources.

So not quite sure how to add that potentially useful info for other towns. It looks useful, and I would like to have more of the UK documented. I hope to be doing some travel there in the next year or so. It would be nice to visit a place where people *almost* speak the same language as I do. ;)

I think it has been moved to an industrial estate away from the old one. But there is a residential bordering it. They're already starting to complain about condoms and drugs everywhere. Anything you want to know about thr UK just ask. I'll try to answer. All cities have street red light areas but many people are arrested and such nonsense. Leeds is a big city and has been brave enough to take the first step. London has soho and street walkers in various areas but not sure where. Used to be loads at King's Cross and I still see some hanging about but not like.it was apparently. All cities have massage parlours. Basically a brothel. And also swinging clubs . People.offering services from.houses and flats too.

Reviving this thread for a bit...

I'd like to add more RLDish streetwalker info from the UK to my map below...but I can't determine which other sources of info are accurate...

If someone is familiar with Leeds maybe you can verify which of these conflicting maps is correct...

https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?hl ... nbsZbChy7c

versus

http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/n ... -1-7388043

also there's a lot of info on that first map...but how much can be trusted? If the map is good I might just link to it from mine...

Thanks to any UK experts out there!

The second link is more accurate. As far as I know, there is only one RLD in Leeds, which is in Holbeck.

Check out the following link as it gives an insight into the darker side of street workers in Leeds' RLD

Hope this helps a bit

I don't know a lot about street walkers. Sorry I can't help more. I just visit Germany Holland an Belgium whenever I'm single and enjoy the goods. Sometimes I visit when I'm accidentally in a relationship. That 3mqns no touching . That's hard ! All UK cities have street walkers. Liverpool has quite a scene too. Manchester also. Birmingham has them too but police and local resident a complain so it's not as big as it could be in these cities.

But just to be clear places like Liverpool, Manchester, and Birmingham don't have *legal* prostitution strolls right?

Correct. I've heard liverpools is tolerated and is near the main hospital apparently. Wolverhampton has a red light area also. Walsall too. In the caldmore area. Birmingham used to have its very own Amsterdam. Cheddar road in balsall heath. An other places too but that was the main one. However, the local population protested and reported people who would be in the area. Google it. Sadly. It is no more. I never did see it.

Thanks Liam,

I've now added Leeds (Holbeck) to my map linked below with the managed area outlined.

Also the BBC servers won't stream outside of the UK, and they even detect commercial VPN services. (At least the one I have access to.)

However, here are both episodes on youtube...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_T2cEoj1QU

After watching these I'm not sure I'd avail myself of Holbeck services. Pretty grim!

Thanks Neurosynth.

I wouldn't touch a street hooker either but i'd expect there'll be decent providers in Holbeck.

The BBC will be trying to paint a grim picture of the whole managed area in Holbeck.

I wonder if Holbeck has attracted girls from all over the UK?

Excellent link. And it seems it has attracted more in to that area. It also says the area is permanent unless anything changes. Hopefully the start of a legal red light district for England and the UK. Let's hope other things such as Windows become part of it.

Looks like the end of the Tolerated Red Light Zone is on the horizon
