Whilst prostitution itself isn't illegal, advertising, propositioning, and streetwalking are (although they're not all always enforced). There's none of the cheap kamer-type prostitution like you get in Amsterdam. Your basic options are streetwalkers (in the RLD near Pigalle and Montmartre, down by rue St Denis, and out by the Bois de Boulogne), certain sex/swingers type clubs, and some of the places in the RLD that offer a happy ending. Or of course, you could always try chatting up a French lady!

I can't comment on the quality of any of the above, never having taken up any of the offers myself, but from what I've heard, the streetwalkers tend to charge around 50€ for a quickie, and beware of the places that try to upsell you a happy ending because they will fleece you if they think they can get away with it.

In all honesty, while one can partake in Paris, you will have the choice between cheap and seedy (street workers etc.) or pretty expensive (escort and the like). It's the middle-class range of facilities (windows, brothels, FKK-style) that is sorely missiing.
