Hey fellow mongerers, I'm taking a trip to eastern Europe next year and was wondering if anyone can recommend good cities for some fun. I was considering Bucharest and Budapest, but would love any advice or information you can provide. Thank you so much!

I visited Bucharest last year to meet up with a Romanian girl, although I wasn't mongering as such.

I quite liked the actual city, the old town is very attractive, mixed with some of the more grandiose architecture of Chauchescu like the parliament building and some wide boulevards. Interesting city, once the "Paris of the East", then the communist era, now in the EU......seems like a place in transition, some things seem very modern and westernised (Starbucks...) and others like relics from communism (e.g the trams, some shabby-looking but interesting buildings).

It was pretty cheap, and the people were friendly.

In terms of fun, there were a lot of "erotic massage" places dotted around the city, one of the free city maps I picked up had loads of them marked on it. I remember walking past one of these places in the old town with a big, obvious sign advertising erotic massage, although I didn't get to try it!

My Romanian friend used to work in one of these places, she said the general idea was naked body-to-body massage with a happy ending, but I wouldn't exactly be surprised if a bit more was on offer in some of them!

Yes, I'm interested in Bucharest, and Romania generally, more a lot more than just the girls. Thank you also for the description of the city, I'll be sure to spend at least a few days there. It seems like Romania has handled the transition from Stalinism to capitalist democracy better than some of the other post-Warsaw Pact nations.

And I'll be sure to check out some of those massage parlors and report back! That sounds like a great place to start.

I've visited Romania a couple of times and enjoyed my stay. I didn't have any p4p but I also saw the many massage places around the old town ( lipscani ) that Aldebran mentioned. There are escorts available too as I did a quick search and found a few, but I didn't try any.
Food and alcohol is cheap, a pint in a bar in the centre cost around £1.20.
If you get a chance go outside of the capital and visit some other city's/towns. Brasov in the mountains is a nice place and drive the Transfagarasan road through the mountains.
The women are super hot too and they certainly like to flaunt it :)

Budapest is also a nice place but it's quite a bit more westernise so is slightly more expensive but still not bad.
