How are the girls and the rld during that time ? Any halloween costumes etc? (Love that crap). And what about the weather?

If i do go there will a gostel be best or is it better with a hotel since less people might go to hostels during this time.

I dont know i might even try Germany instead? What do you guys think`?

I go around then a lot. In fact, I'll be there from Oct 16th-29th. I like that time of year. Not too crowded, still all the girls around, hotels are usually pretty cheap, and it's not too hot or too cold. Amsterdam's always a good time, even if you're just on your own. I don't tend to talk to a ton of people and I always have a blast anyway. Nothing to pick you up like a nice Amsterdam trip. Hotels, well they are more expensive and probably abit further away and i guess the food is abit more expensive too.

October / November is usually quite a good time to visit - the city is less busy than summer, it can be wet and sometimes windy but it's not usually too cold, fewer girls are on holiday, hotels are cheaper. The RLD has more atmosphere with it getting darker earlier in the evening.

I don't recall seeing any Halloween costumes on the RLD girls, although I do remember being in a bar on Halloween where the staff all wore outfits and the place was suitably decorated.

As for hostel vs hotel, it really depends what you prefer and the price differential. One thing to bear in mind is that at some point as you get older you become too used to creature comforts and will no longer consider staying in a hostel! For that reason you might want to consider a hostel while you are still the right age to enjoy it! A hostel is more of a social environment which isn't so good if you want to keep to yourself, but you might find that your holiday cheers you up and then you're in the right kind of place to meet some new people.
