Hi, I am going to amsterdam 22nd - 23rd april but my hotel has double booked me. I can't find any hotels free on this weekend in the city centre. any recommendations i can try ?

i was booked in originally for around £100. wouldn't want to spend anymore than £200 really. thanks for any help

I have had similar problems over weekends and have taken a hotel at Schipol instead - the rail link means you can be at Centraal in 15 mins, so its not to inconvenient for a couple of days.

That's what i would do as well. Either that or a hotel close to a train station that isn't too far away from Centraal. The prices for that night are fkin crazy.

I'd try Airbnb, way better than hotels IMO.

There is a rather large medical conference over that weekend. Naturally hotels have cranked up their rates.
