I'll be passing through Amsterdam again in early November on what I hope is my last trip (for work) to the Mideast. I always enjoyed taking in the wide variety of street art on Spuistraat, but developers have taken over the area.

Does anyone know where the street artists moved to? Where is a good place to find street art in Amsterdam these days?

Dogs,

Wijdesteeg off Spuistraat is still impressive, though not what it was once.
There is a ton in Noordamsterdam, by the NDSM wharf and along the river to the east.
There is even a bike tour on Saturdays, through the Oude West.

Thanks much Weasel. Bicycle tour, eh? That could be interesting. I'm going to have a week there. Same Kras apartment that I usually get. Good for the cardiac health climbing those stairs

Hope to see you around some time

Thanks!
I had heard about a street art area near Centraal station, near the water. I looked several times, but never found it. Now I know why! It's on the north side

I'll be sure to head over there

Elgonzo,

Yes, the ferry is free, and worth every cent.
Great neighborhood, lots of good places to eat, and tons of street art.
You can even stay in the crane!
