Hi. Can you guys recommend a bar in the central area of Amsterdam, where they play live music? I'm more into blues and jazz than karaoke stuff.

Maloe melo, bourbon street & the last watering hole. These three places should do the trick, all within walking distance of Leidseplein ;)

Sunday jazz at Cafe de Engelbewaarder. Not much of a jazz fan myself but i like the bar and the beer if you can get a seat.

I have played a Meloe Melo and The last Waterhole . Both great clubs MM is more blues and not necessarily so touristy . Some nights they have Roots Blues if you like that . First time I played there another guitar player from Houston joined in and fell off the stage stoned in the big room.

The last Waterhole more a tourist club , but still a lot of fun usually a higher energy .

Bourbon Street real touristy.

They all look great. Definitely I'll give them a try. Thank you guys. But are some other ones closer to De Wallen?

Cafe de Engelbewaarder is very close. There’s some place on Zeedijk but I’ve never been.

Hannekes Boom have a band playing most Sunday afternoons, makes for a great atmosphere in the summer when there is usually a couple of hundred people milling around outside.
