I used to use an interactive map that gave the locations of the window girls, and when you clicked onto the locations it gave reviews and other information. does anyone have a link to it please?

That was the hookers.nl map. It no longer exists, sadly. You can still find a link to the map on their site, but you can’t click on the windows anymore, so it’s no longer very useful.

Isn't one of those who made this interactive map an Admin here? Wonder why we don't have such a thing on this site.

it was neurosynth's map, google restricted it for some reason so it doesnt show to the public anymore, now he's searching for another method to display it.

Yeah, it was me. I wrote the code for the interactive maps on the old hookers.nl site (hookers.nl provided the images), integrating them with the reviews in the database. Was a fun project. Sadly, they weren't able to preserve this feature with the site migration (to vBulletin 5) a while back. It's been discussed here (and on hookers.nl) before.


I need map images I can use (i.e. something that's not copyrighted by someone else.) I'm not skilled at image creation/editing. If some forum member wants to contribute maps for De Wallen, Singelgebied, De Pijp, Alkmaar, Den Haag etc, then I might take a crack at it. Code is my thing but I don't have the time/skills to create the images too.


The previous site operator was unable to get it working after some site migration or other... I forget now. By the time I took over the tech side of things it was so out of date (years) that it wouldn't have been that useful even if I got it working again. I'd always intended to replace it with something better (a reviews database integrated with interactive maps and the posts in "The Girls") but then just never found the time to get started.

Perfectly fine, Elgonzo! If I used to only link to the hookers.nl interactive maps in past, it's mainly because they were simply much more useful than George's while they still existed. But nowadays, I doubt there's anything better than what he's put together. We only disallow spammy links here (or any links in general from someone who joined solely to post said links), and http://amsterdam-red-light-district-maps.com/ doesn't fall into that category.

I'm not sure if I was tripping balls on acid but I remember like a Doom / Duke Nukem kinda first person navigable map. I have absolutely no clue where I saw it. Always thought it would be cool if that could be matched up with girl details on each window.

Honestly though, these days, and I mean absolutely no disrespect to Ignatzmice as I love this forum, I don't think there is enough contributors in order to sustain a functioning interactive map (unless of course, data was siphoned from Hookers hahah)

I really do hope they get those maps back up and running. A lot of my regulars are starting to retire, those maps would make it much easier to find well-reviewed ladies rather than totally going in blind.

I like that Ignatzmice isn’t too crowded. We’ve got a good group here. I’m on another local board in Toronto, it’s packed, and it’s also full of assholes and half the posts are trolling, racism/anti-immigration bullshit, blatant misogyny, anti-vaxx conspiracy nonsense, not-so-subtle “humblebragging”, shitflinging (not literally. Well, maybe sometimes literally...) and other assorted bullshit. I love the vibe here, very relaxed, everyone’s civil to each other, it’s really pretty rare to have a community that’s this... functional. It’s almost like people here act like mature adults. What a novel concept!
