Amsterdam free trip 2 alkmar

Is there still a free boat trip that runs to alkmar? If so what are the details?

Yeah, this is not a thing. Also, maybe have a look at a map and let me know if traveling from Amsterdam to Alkmaar by boat makes any sense whatsoever. Good luck with that.

Well there does seem to be a canal and thus a connection by water between Amsterda and Alkmaar. I don't know how that works in practice though.

You must be thinking of the free ferries that cross the IJ.
Take the train to Alkmaar. (8~>)
