Hi all been reading these forums for a while only just registered we are a couple visiting Amsterdam end of January we went in August recently it was our 1st time and we didnt get to do much apart from cafe and wandering about and was the end of our trip before we knew it we ate going for a little longer this time around so after any advice on what to do and see thanks

Sounds good to me :-) Plenty of other activities on ofer though. There used to be several couples posted about their exploits here, not so much these days. Maybe ask some specific questions?

I have googled all the fun stuff but it will be the wife's birthday while we there so some nice restaurants and places we should visit also if you got any experience of fun for couples while there would love to get some ideas

The markets:
ALbert cuyp every day except Sunday
Noordkerkplein Saturday and Monday
Dappermarket Saturday
NDSM every third weekend

NDSM is worth a trip just to look around. Pillek and Northern Lights are good places to eat.
Take the free ferry behind Centraal Station

Rent bikes

Rijksmuseum is great, Van Gogh and Hermitage are worth an afternoon depending on the traveling exhibits
Lots of smaller museums ranging from handbags to ships

Eat something from FEBO. Manakin Pis for fries.
De Bekkerde Suster is a nice brtewpub with a small menu.
De Wildeman has better beer, but less food.
I love Wok to Walk, Thai Bird and Cafe Wau
For higher end dinners, Ilike Blau on der Wall, and Seafood Market.
Kantjil an de Tiger or Tempoe Daloe for Indonesian

Ndsm looks good so will look in to that as for the bikes think I will give that a miss they are crazy
