Just a note from NYC, the epicenter at the moment:

I am untested, but I have been ill for half a month. I have to assume at this point that I have COVID-19. I am high-risk, being over 60 and a cancer survivor that is related to my respiratory system. My odds are mediocre. (NYC's private doctors refuse to see virus patients of any sort.)

My company is nice; I am on disability and I still have healthcare. (We are working from home.)

Symptoms may not be as brutal as what you may see on TV. If you suffer long-term GI woes, nausea, muscle aches, dizziness, you may be affected. In Wuhan, this started as a GI disease, I believe, before it progressed. Symptoms may ebb and flow---OK days mixed with brutal pain on others.

For you young mongers, stick to the Internet; don't risk seeing anyone---only women who are suicidal or utterly desperate are seeing clients now. (Despite being straight, I had no sex for years during AIDS due to the closing of bordellos---and fear---in NYC. I survived. Not happily, but I survived.)

Bluto runs the best blog in the world. It's been accurate and troll-free for many years. Many kind people have stepped up to help me over the years. Thank you.

I’m close to a couple of the girls communication wise and they are being offered or requested for private meets but they are absolutely not fine with that option as they realise that this is a huge danger for them. That is good to know and reassuring that they would not risk it to make a quick buck with the potential of transmission further down the line. They only got 30 minutes notice that everything would be closing down. These ladies are switched on and can go without working for a while but for many it is going to be catastrophic, although they do come under the social umbrella and will get a certain amount from the state which is again is good to hear. We all know there are plenty of rip off girls out there but there are also, as we know, some absolutely lovely hard working honest girls as well. Stay safe everyone and minimise the risk where you can.

Yeah, I’m not mongering right now. I do have one of my regular ladies I’ll probably be seeing soon, but just because she’s bringing me groceries because she’s kind of an amazing person like that. Aside from that, I’m monitoring the situation, staying in, and in a few weeks or months or however long it takes for this thing to even out, I’ll start making my bookings again. For now, though, sticking to porn. Maybe I’ll order myself a fleshlight!

Everyone be smart, I know it sucks, but don’t think with the little head here. I’m in my 30s, no health issues aside from my IBS, I’m not at much risk from this, but the more people do their part and stay isolated as much as possible, the better off we’re all going to be, and the less time we’ll all have to spend locked up at home. Now’s the time to be selfless and think about others even if you aren’t personally at risk.

I was traveling by air mid-February and a few days after my return home I came down with a flu. I had no pulmonary issues. It was all fever and gastro-intestinal. Based on these symptoms I initially ruled out covid-19. I was in bed for 3 miserable days. I barely ate and had sweats and body aches. I lost 3-4 kgs. I quarantined myself away from my family out of an abundance of caution and the fever was gone on the fourth or fifth day.

Since then and after the world has learned more about covid-19, including that it may not manifest as pulmonary disease, I have come to strongly suspect that I had it and thankfully recovered. Since I fully recovered more than a month ago I won't ever know what it was for sure unless I have a serum test for covid-19 antibodies, a test that doesn't currently exist to my knowledge.

Last week a family member developed a cough and head congestion, no fever, and I have designated myself as care-giver based on my assessment that I am at the lowest risk in the household. This family member self-quarantines in a bedroom with a private bathroom and when they come out they wear a mask and wash their hands first. It's probably just a seasonal cold and these are just measures due to an over-abundance of caution. I won't be reporting these health issues to the authorities or calling for medical assistance unless other symptoms develop since where I live there are forced quarantine orders for those who test positive and those who have had contact and since the current guidelines are that hospital treatment is not necessary unless you have breathing difficulty.

When I go in public I wear a surgical mask and wash my hands whenever there might have been a chance of contamination. I carry hand sanitizer with me.

I found this video by a Weill Cornell ICU doc in NYC informative and reassuring: https://vimeo.com/399733860

Stay safe everyone.

I have a sister who works in a hospital sent home showing mild symptoms now isolated. My neice works in a chemist been very busy developed a cough sent home now isolated.

I have watched boris and now staying home only travel is for food.

Y’all take care , it doesn’t seem to be getting much better . I have had a cough for the last week and half no fever. Bad headache and just a feeling of exhaustion . Hard to sleep . But I think I might have allergies . I freaked out and called my doctor , the doc never even talked to me they told me if I had no fever or problem breathing just stay home.
I go to a couple swingers websites and one of them every day bring up morbid statistics. Then UK swingers website still has lots of people chatting and lots of naked women.on cam.
A true story last August when we were leaving Ireland returning to Amsterdam we struck a conversation with a lady from Australia . Her mother and her were visiting Europe . She looked strange how she had her hair cut and how she was dressed. But she explained she worked worked for Australia Center Disease Control . She explained some stuff I didn’t really understand but when we all parted she said when you go home get your flu shot. I told her we always do. Then she said no Joke get your shot this is going to be a very bad flu season. I asked how she knew she said Australia’s flu season is reversed of ours and Australia was going through hell .
When we got home we went to our local Doc in the Box to get flu shots . We were told that the flu vaccine was late to get out and they did not have any, Spooky two weeks later we found some at CVS and got the shots .

interesting story... how did she cut her hair and how was she dressed?

speaking of hair, on a side note to all with a beard.
a beard isn't good to have if wearing a mask.. its simply impossible to get it tight enough.

one other question
Corona wasn't known in august, or are you saying the lady had it coming? thats rather spooky. I think Australia hasn't really had any problem yet with the virus, around 30 deaths so far which is considered rather few. there are no cure yet so no flue shot will make a difference.

The lady did not mention anything out of the ordinary, just get the flu shot . This is going to be a rough flu season . I cannot tell you what the numbers are for flu this year . With the Corona virus nobody is concerned with the flu this year.

13,000 cases, 300+ deaths. This story is hooey and classic tinfoil hat content.

Check out NCOV2019.live for the most up to date numbers. Australia is still around 6500. / 71 deceased . Texas alone is three times more . Can’t explain it.

It’s not really that hard to explain. The U.S. has (warning: political opinion) horrible leadership that is actively spreading false and dangerous information, millions of people with no savings and no paid sick days, and no or insufficient insurance, a severe lack of testing, a media spreading conspiracy theories and fomenting disobedience, and a huge number of absolute fucking mongs selfishly endangering others to protest measures meant to keep everyone safe. Australia, on the other hand, has far fewer people and much lower population density, universal healthcare, paid sick days, and a population that isn’t a bunch of stubborn dickheads who are willing to put others at risk basically just because they don’t like being told what to do. It’s not at all hard to understand why the U.S. is faring so poorly.

As for red states vs. blue states, well, California and New York are among the most populous states and have high population density concentrated in large urban centres. It makes sense for them to be hit hard. Just wait. The red states are going to be hit badly as more and more people opt to defy social distancing measures. These idiots are going to get a lot of people killed.

Flowers to you, Algernon.

I'm hanging in. After three weeks of illness, I 'returned' to work at home.

I still have symptoms, on and off---lack of taste and smell can be weird.

I never thought I'd see my NYC look like "28 Days Later."

The best thing was when my libido returned about ten days ago.

I think C-19 affects the immune system for quite a while.

I hope all Micers are well, in a safe place, secure, and in a few years, as I approach my mid-60s, I can be the oldest monger at Park 118.

Stay safe.

Glad you’re safe, Diesel. I’m ok, but it’s been a tough week. One of my best friend’s grandpa died, I have another friend whose grandpa is in the hospital, and another friend with a crazy landlord who’s been harassing her and threatening to kick her out because she can’t pay rent (which I don’t think he can actually do right now). It’s so heartbreaking not being able to be there for them when they’re hurting. I’ve been talking to them on the phone, I sent my other friend some money so she can make rent for the month, but I wish I could do more. I’ve also been in crippling pain from my IBS due to all the stress, so that’s not great. As they say, when it rains, it pours. This week has been quite the storm.

I really hate this. Everyone stay safe and take good care of your people.
