If someone was going to do that, why would they limit it to only things in Amsterdam and not also other places?

I gave up girlfriends once I discovered Amsterdam and then all was revealed.

Why limit yourself in a life with only 1 partner i.e. girlfriend/spouse/wife?

Only for a decade of unhappiness in what society calls 'marriage'.

I made that mistake back in college after my first trip in 2005. Never again, got the full "you're an abuser" speech, waterworks, foot stamping, trying to ruin my reputation in the university, the lot. Whatever the public 'right' position is on prostitution, most women intensely dislike it if a man shows them; (a) he can't get any without paying for it (because she is then sleeping with a low value man); (b) he doesn't need an emotional connection to enjoy sex (ultimately, as much as they enjoy it more, neither do women, but they don't like to bring that up when it concerns a guy they like might step out on them) and; (c) he can replace them by picking up a phone (so can women, but everyone prefers it when the power in a relationship is with them).

The indentarian left is the one most people (at least in Europe) take their social cues from about moral behaviour today, and unfortunately it is hopelessly schizophrenic about the issue of prostitution, so you can't appeal to a commonly agreed moral position easily. If you tell a woman you like P4P, it is going to send off alarms bells shrieking in most girls' heads, and she can easily denounce you on social media and whip up an e-lynch mob that will wreck your life and follow you around for years. Personally, I don't think it is worth being honest about to future partners (but I would also not punt if in a committed relationship).

Perhaps, but I'm afraid that, like the point that women commit huge numbers of sex crimes themselves (https://www.independent.co.uk/life-styl ... 39361.html), are less likely to be arrested, charged or imprisoned (and receive lighter sentences when this does happen) than men for all crimes (including sex crimes), this bold plan will founder on the rocks of modern sensibilities, which can be summed by the phrase "Men are EEEvvvvviiiillllll".

Agreed, the demands of a relationship are incompatible with a mongering lifestyle 90% of the time. Sex workers also find it hard to date (I'm talking porn stars etc here too) due to the fidelity thing. Interestingly, I don't think this would have been the case back when marriage was an economic proposition rather than an emotional union. But obviously as the institution of marriage has changed and (frankly) weakened, it has also made it more incompatible with mongering in Western countries. I'm pretty sure this isn't the case in Asian places like Japan or Korea yet, but that may changes as those countries get more feminists etc.
