I was quite distressed to see the empty and "closed" streets in the Wallen. Some say its permanent?

is it really that bad? I was planning on going to Frankfurt but that seems dead and decided Amsterdam may be an option now that Netherlands will accept double jabbed uk peeps.

Yikes, some lovely shots there (kudos!) but the ones of the empty alleys made me very sad.

I am now in amsterdam. the RLD is alive and crowded exactly as it was in my last visit two years ago.
