How alive is the RLD?

Hey everyone, I'm going to Amsterdam for a few days very soon and was wondering what the status of the RLD is.
I read some report from a few months back that a lot of windows were closed/unoccupied. But couldn't see any very recent reports. The last time I visited Amsterdam was in August last year - where RLD was pretty alive.
Has anyone been there recently, who can give a status report? Is it a bit worse than last year, much worse - or what's the case. Appreciate any feedback :)

I was there sept 2020 and july this year

would say abit more quiet this year as some streets are gone , (check other threads). On the other hand tourist might now be back compared to this summer and also the girls.

I was there on a Thursday night a couple of weeks ago. In terms of girls in the windows, it was the quietest I've ever seen it, and the closure of all the windows in the St. Annen/Dolleb/Tromp area is tragic.

I had hoped the closure of dolleb/trump would only be temporary!

I’m visiting at the end of the October so I have some hope things might be a little different but other than OZA are things now pretty much dead?

Anyone know where board favourite Simona went?

I was out Thursday night.
2 girls in the covered area.
Everything on Tromp, Dolleb, St Annen closed.
Most of OZA full...Didn't recognize anyone.
Mollensteeg was full
Bloedstraat had lots of TS, and what I think were women at the Gordensteeg end.
About half the crowd compared to two years ago.
I will check the pijp next week, and will probably look at the singel tonight.
On a side note, escorts are VERY busy, and a little difficult to book.
My favorite German service is booked out for the entire month of October!
I am soooooo glad to be back.

The lack of visitors to the RLD is also contributed to by the night trains and GVB being off schedule. At the moment night-buses don't run daily and traditional night trains are stopping around half midnight to 0100. Locally these services are regarded for the "partygoers"...unless your hotel is central, you could be stuck for transportation.

Great stuff Weasel and makes me want to start planning a trip !!

Out of curiosity how is the rest of the Amsterdam scene in terms of coffee shops, beer bars (miss sitting outside Da Wildeman between RLD walks), food etc ?

Cannot wait to experience that mix the city offers again soon.

Cheers.

Nellie

Nellie,
Outside is fine. Crowded, and with painfully slow service everywhere, but it works.
Dining is hit and miss. Small buy-and fly is normal.
The bigger the place, the worse the staff shortage.
There is more in the trip report.
If there is a specific place, let me know and I will look in as I wander about.

Just arrived last night Sunday night, first trip since December 2019, so comparing to then, lots of people wandering around much like usual Sunday night from before, noticeable few American, English accents heard, seemed to be a lot of french. Obviously massive part closed down though LVER seemed busy decent amount of people going around, I think every room had girl in. On main canal lots of rooms temporarily closed appears 2 new room owners taking over rooms shortly. Good selection of girls available lots of regularly faces though in different rooms to you would expect to see them in. Appear plenty of people going in out of rooms. From info I had gained it was about what I expected for now, but looks like it will return nearer to how it was, apart from closures around tromp/Dolle
Had a wander over to Singel very nice selection around rooms 17 19 Spuistraat. Will be interesting how daytime compares today. So far Amsterdam still rocks.
