We're thinking about renting an apartment for an 8 day trip in April. Based on people's' recommendations, I was looking at citymundo's site. Unfortunately, or fortunately, it's an embarrassment of riches (to coin a phrase). The large number of choices coupled with the knowledge that things that look good on the internet often don't look so good in real life has lead me to ask for help. Can anyone recommend a specific apartment from citymundo, or anyother service for that matter? What we're looking for is a one bedroom apartment (or large loft, not a small studio), weed smoking ok, no more than a 15 minute walk from De Kuil, convenient to the tram, not on the ground floor. Thanks for any help.

Hi ,

Unit 1492 is located across the street from Dam square. About 5 minutes from De Kuil ( My Favorite ) I have stayed there 3 times. It is a top floor unit right across the street from Homegrown Fantasy ( also very nice ). It has a great deal of room and looks just like the pics on the site. The only down side I have had is the bathroom shower drain was having trouble last time I was there and drained very slow. It does not have a phone but it does have a nice cable tv. Two seperate bedrooms wonderful beamed ceilings and wood floors. There is no microwave but there is a stove and fridge in the kitchen. The grocer is just a block away. I have enjoyed it but it is not a super luxurios apartment but it is very comfortable. Location is it's best feature as it is close to Grey Area, Amnesia, Homegrown Fantasy as well as many others. I have no trouble walking to Barnies for breakfast in the morning.

Best of luck,

Paraquat

Hi there

Last time we visited Dam we booked through lovingamsterdam.com.
They seem to have quite a wide selection of apartments and we were more than satisfied with where we stayed.
Have booked through citymundo for our forthcoming trip (staying in L10645) and certainly hoping its as nice as it looks.

I stayed at the Krasnapolsky Apartments my last trip and will always stay there whenever I go back. Kitchen, washer/dryer, stereo, balcony-I never spent so much time in my hotel in Amsterdam before.

I quite recently turned-up a number of promising apartment prospects during my search for a nice-looking flat to lay my head during my upcoming visit to Amsterdam. When in Amsterdam, I prefer to stay in a private apartment setting as it affords a nice home-like feeling when you return from a hard days night!

If you were to have to stay in a hotel though, I would recommend the highly discounted booking feature available right here, through Ignatzmice.com. (Check out the drop-down menus on the left side of your screen) Booking through Ignatzmice.com helps ensure this fine site continues to provide the exceedingly excellent content we've become accustomed to!

In anycase, here are a list of links that I hope will help you out in your search for an apartment rental:

http://www.flatmates.nl/index.htm
http://www.canalapartments.com/A.php
http://www.lovingamsterdam.com/Amsterda ... _1216.html
http://www.citymundo.com/

Good luck, and please be sure to report-back with your experience, however it turns out to be!

Cheers,
Uberchef.

I’ve stayed in L01375 which is on OZA or OZV (still don’t know which is which). It was nice but for the price of 380 euros for 3 nights I think you can get far better value from a hotel.

For an 8 day trip I’d definitely consider the Kras apartments but I never stay long enough for their minimum booking. I stay in your favourite hotel mostly these days, right next to my favourite bar.
