Hi All,

Have been told there is a rather cool/fun technology meseum full of modern gadgets?

I think it is called NEMO but not sure as their website currently doesn't have a an English version.

Any advice on the worthiness of a trip or alternative let me know.

Yes, that would be NEMO.
It's the big green building in the shape of a ship, a bit further up from Centraal Station.

I wouldn't necessarily refer to NEMO as a "gadget museum," per se. It's more of a hands-on science museum-type place with a lot of interactive displays, many of which are focused on educating schoolkids about science and the like.

But, it's fun for adults, too. I certainly enjoyed the few hours when I was there. Very engaging.

Right next the Central Station is the largest futuristic science center in the Netherlands, housed in a ship like building designed by Renzo Piano. Here you can be amazed by the world of science and technology. Contrary to other museums, here you must touch the collection and experiment with it.
