I'm back from suspension (they got me on a trumped-up dangling modifier charge) to announce that the Arctic Monkeys, that latest music sensation from the British Isles, has a show at the Melkweg on Feb. 27. It's sold out already, which is a shame, because I'm sure my middle-aged ass would have looked good on the dance floor....

Instead of riding the wave of brit pop to another 3 chord indie rock jism, why not check out the 'Clap Your Hands And Say Yeah' show at the Melkweg next Sunday night? They are a great band from Brooklyn--a local band to me y'know--and tickets are only 12.5 euro. Another interesting band, Dr. Dog, are opening. It's not yet sold out.

Thanks for the tip. That sounds very interesting. I've seen some great shows over the years at the Melkweg, so I'm always game to try something new.
