I used to work with a women who stepped off of the curb in front of our office on Dearborn Street in downtown Chicago and was hit by a bus. As Lenny Bruce once said, "Everybody's vulnerable. Everybody's ass is up for grabs".

I should probably avoid this thread, but this is just so amusing.

I just had to share this link about a Danish-American and French-American's peaceful stand against a peaceful protest in France yesterday. Scroll down for the english translation and add your comment if you want.

Check out this amusing story about the Queen of Denmark. I can't read it but the photo is of the Queen of Denmark, Margrethe II, as a belly-dancer. Apparently it's supposed to make people angry and go out and burn the Egyptian embassy or something... I'm just laughing at the poor attempt. Thinking funfor2 has Denmark and Holland mixed up...

Bible Quotes banana61?

The correct quote is: "As you sow so shall you reap"
Meaning: 'Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap"

Jesus was Crucified, he must have had it comming to him...

Banana might just be quoting Bob Marley - "You reap what you sow" comes from Trenchtown Rock - in which case he'd be right Quinn.

Let's keep this board secular eh? But incidentally Jesus did have it coming to him. It was his dad's wish.

Back to the post, I think the Kaiser Chiefs have been predicting a riot all over Europe for the last few months now.

I'd rather quote Bob Marley than JC but neither was intended. Just wanted to thank Houston for standing shoulder to shoulder with Yurpeans.

BTW, I didn't realise JC spoke english.

Ok folks I know the difference from the Netherlands and Denmark and France but in the U S ( Texas) we are seeing a lot about unrest about Muslims in Europe. ( Maybe too much TV ) We were in Amsterdam a year and half ago after Theo Van Gogh's murder and all we heard about was trouble , even from theDutch customs agent at Schipol . We have never experienced any problems what so ever in any part of Europe after 7 visits so it looks like nothing has changed !!!! This was not meant as an insult to Holland at all .

There have been protests in a number of European cities, as far as I recall none violent but it has been more serious in a number of muslim countries. As usual the press makes a lot of a little so it may sound as if Europe is in flames but that's not the case. Generally the protests have focussed on Danish/other European embassies, which in NL are in Den Haag rather than Amsterdam, so if you stay in the RLD you're probably safe.
