Hi all, 1st post here.

Myself and 3 other guys (all 18) are going to A'Dam on the 23rd and im really in the mood to talking / chatting up an American girl as im crazy for their accents. We are all British and i hear they like British guys accents too! =D

Question: Will there be many American girls in Amsterdam at this time of the year?? If so, do any of you guys recomend a club that lots of Americans tend to go to??

Could not help but grin when I read this as I fall under the spell of the European females accents. "Question: Will there be many American girls in Amsterdam at this time of the year??" It's a hit and miss. You never know what might happen however spring break and summer seem to be when I have noticed more American females roaming about. Good luck!

No advice but I can say I am positively tickled to hear you say you like American accents. I find it hysterical... in a good way. :)

PS. We do love British guy's accents...

this concept of accents interests me. I have a British accent but I'm quite certain it sounds nothing like Cockney, West Country, Welsh, Geordie, Weegie or Ulster. It even sounds vastly different from the town 40 miles down the road. I suppose the same goes for our American friends, New York being vastly different to Dallas ands so on.

theres always plenty of us babes in a'dam..best places to hang are the bulldog palace on leidspeplein and coffeshops like the rokery and grey area.

I don't know what it is about the British accent, but american woman are fascinated by them. I think it must have something to do with the James Bond films. They must imagine they are getting nailed by 007(licenced to drill)or something.

I just cant imagine a James Bond with a Cockney accent. The film "My Fair Lady" probably ruined it for those poor blokes. Whenever we hear a Cockney accent americans think of the British "lower class"(sorry).

Obviously my single experience doesn't signify a trend, but I ran into quite a few when I hit the Boom Chicago show.

Speaking for this American female, and most my girlfriends, we think British accents ( and most others) are very sexy.

I used to frequent a cockney boy who would in the act refer to me as a "dirty bitch." I'd pay to hear that again.
