Train Question- If I'm going from Amsterdam to Den Haag can I buy an Amsterdam-Den Haag ticket, route myself via Haarlem and Leiden, getting off the train at those two stops ?

Tram Questions- I had always heard that Strippenkaarten were good on trams, buses and metros thoughout the Netherlands. I recently heard that one-week season tickets are also good nationwide. Is this true? If so do I understand it correctly; the zone 1 ticket I buy at GVB in Amsterdam is good on trams in the central zone in Den Haag?

Thanks

Train - no problem breaking journeys as long as you are continuing on the same day.

Tram - season tickets are valid for the zone(s) you select, so a weekly ticket for the centre of Amsterdam is useless in DH and vice versa, whereas a strippenkaart is valid nationwide. Unless you are planning lots of travel in either location I recommend the strippenkaart.
