I'm thinking of going to A'dam tomorrow and stay until Sunday. But as it's Easter I guess the place is packed with people?
Especially the hotels (good value, midprice 60 euro) - anyone who knows if I can get a room if I just show up tomorrow ??
And about the girls of the Wallen - will there be loads of people lining up outside of the kamers?

the city is already getting busy today, noticably more so than an average tuesday. you can always get a room somewhere but be prepared to put in some shoe leather. i would imagine if you get here tomorrow you should be ok, leave it till friday for a quite diferent story. one of the best bets would be to check out the vvv office as you exit centraal and see if they can fix you up with a room without having to walk about.

so far as people queuing up outside the red light kamers - the girls should be so lucky. all the girls i speak with of late are bemoaning the lack of trade in de wallen. i also spent an hour or so at the office of a major escort agency today and they tell the same story. whilst i sat there, girls were calling up asking to get priority on any jobs which might come in. seems the old addage of the sex industry being a recession proof might not be so true in 2006. for what its worth, the escort agency boss blames it on cheap escorts undercutting his business in papers like de telegraaf (charging 50- 80 euro per hour).
