Hey guys - it has been awhile

I will give a brief summery of my time in Bangkok then answer any questions?

$1 = approx 35 Baht

For independents and bar girls
Short time = 20min to 1hr
Long time = until tomorrow - I had to run a pretty young thing out the next day, not a chance in hell I could go a forth time. If you are decent to them - they would love to be your 'girlfriend'. They enjoy the 5 star hotels and fine meals, and if you want to help them out with some expenses it's all good.. 2000 baht well spent
Bar Fine = club's cut, then you make an agreement with the girl. Everyone was happy with 50% of their first offer.

Soappies and massage parlors are fixed price and all inclusive

At high end restaurants or bars - pretty, young girls, asked to sit down and buy me a drink. Likely work in a local shops and would love to havea 'boyfriend' or better yet husband. Your income is amazing in comparison.
Think of it as groupies - and you have fair idea of how it works.

Flights very long - but comfortable and cheaper than going to Europe from US

Food and beer - excellent and cheap
For example http://themexicanbkk.com/

Hotels - amazing and cheap - 5 star $80 a night
I stayed here - it is lady friendly - and yes room service will bring a condom at midnight, 3am and again at 9am all with a smilehttps://www.landmarkbangkok.com/
It overlooks Nana and is a easy walk to Soi (alley) cowboy
Massage places a couple skytrain stops away, soupies a few subway stops away

City - could be overwhelming loud and chaotic - but very interesting
These will give a sense

People - amazing friendly - but some taxi drivers will try to rip you off - regardless much cheaper than here - 400 baht should cover any two points you want to go (such as airports), including tolls; local stuff 20 baht give or take. Better yet for local trips take the motercyle taxis which are silly cheap (2 -10 baht)

Siteseeing - excellent and Angkor is an easy and cheap side trip
Amazing https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angkor

Weather - hot and humid always - half the year it rains a lot, half the year it rains almost always

Gogo bars - excellent for looking, but take out can be expensive - relatively, much better value available
My favorite http://www.singlemanstravel.com/crazy-house-bangkok/

Soapy Message (fishbowls) - relax have a beer - pick a girl if one catches your eye - about $80 for hour of bathing together with her cleaning every bit of your body, heavy petting, bbbj , then bed for much the same, then sex. And there a upcharge for Westerners (=big dicks) $80 included that - you can spend much more for Thai playboy models
$200 I think
I tried this one - easy subway ride http://www.thaimassagemodel.com/Emmanuelle/modelplace.php?id=002

Message parlors - my favorite - much the same (no surcharge), with lower price - Main difference pick girl out of book, but you send her back if you choose. No hurt feelings - 90 minutes for $70 was my sweet spot - photos are of the girls - many amazing pretty girls available - amazing service
My favotite http://www.101premiermassage.com/en/masseuses/

Never felt unsafe

Like anything - do your homework- there are excellent websites and videos - that walk you thru the whole thing
This was very useful for me http://bangkokredeye.com/

Any questions?

Thank you for your excellent report.

Long flight-time makes Thailand challenging. What airline did you take that allowed you comfortable seats?---just doing 7 hours NYC to A'dam is torture for me, as I can't sleep on planes, plus I'm big.

Did all the ladies speak decent-enough English?

From what I understand, in clubs you "rent" the girl from the bar and then seek a room elsewhere. is this still the case?

Thanks for the post. Excellent read. No questions.

I was in Thailand for the first time a few months back, but only in BKK for a stop-over and didn't have any time to explore Soi Nana or any other recreational areas.

Flew United coach but seemed to be more legroom than Atlantic flights, I am a tall guy and was reasonably comfortable. But it was a hell of a long time, to sit there - one flight was 17 hours.

Bar girls - you pay the bar to take them out the door 700 - 1000 baht seems to be the norm. Often there is hourly hotel nearby for such things. or use your hotel (but make sure it is girl friendly).

Then it is between you and her the comes to terms on time and price. As always supply and demand rule, hottest girl may only do short time and ask 4000, but will likely take 2500-3000

I only did this once 700 bar fine - she asked 3000 for long time, I offered 2000 and she accepted - but it was getting late and the demand curve was working in my favor - taxi to my hotel - 2 pops and I asked her to leave the next morning.

Street walkers much the same deal - less the barfine

Soapies & Massage parlors - all inclusive fixed price

In all cases service was excellent

Don't recall any real communication issues, of course some were much easier than others

As a general rule, the girls English ability varies greatly with how long they have been working in the business. A girl who has only worked a few months might only speak a few words if that. While a girl who has been around for years might speak very well. While it's rare to find a girl who has worked less than a year who speaks well, it's not uncommon to find girls who have worked 2-3 years and still can't speak much English at all. Thais in general don't speak English unless they are in the tourist industry, and many of those not well. Keep in mind English is a difficult language for them to learn as Thai is tonal in nature. Therefore things like tenses, adjectives and adverbs are something they just don't understand. To compensate they have almost created their own language where they substitute a few verbs and pronouns in place and just ignore tenses all together. If you are looking for conversation, a bar girl should not be your first choice. That said, it's not as big an issue as they all understand the phrase: "bar fine".

You don't rent a girl from a bar as they bar doesn't own them in that sense. What you are doing is compensating the bar for the girl leaving and not shilling drinks. Hence why it's called a "bar fine". Fact is a bar would much rather the girls never leave as they make more from them driving bar business than they get in bar fines. It's worth noting that while the girls work for a particular bar, they are free to leave at any time and go somewhere else to work (and often do), or just stop working all together and go back home. They get paid a monthly salary depending on what they do, and make a cut on every drink you buy for them. They don't get a cut of the bar fire, but they do keep all the money from you for activities once they leave.

Once you take them from the bar, it's normal to take them back to your room for either short time or long time. Renting a room for an hour or so can be done, but it's not as common as you might think. In fact some girls might find it strange. They won't have a problem with it, just find it strange. In BKK you need to stay in a hotel that is "girl friendly". While if you are in Pattaya, just about every hotel is so it's not really an issue.
