Amazing how much more expensive NYC is than Europe, at least where this is legal. I went to FlashDancers on West 45th street. Entry is $20 after 8. There are two categories of girls: the dancers and the waitresses. The dancers rotate onto the stage and then make the rounds for lap dances. Lap dances are $20 per song.

The waitresses serve drinks (~$10 for you or ~$20 to buy one for a girl) and do not do lap dances. The waitresses will offer semi-private or private dances in the champagne lounge, the blue room, and the safari room for $700, $1700, and $2000 per hour.

The champagne lounge is furnished with couches. It is one big room, so not private. The girls will get topless and maybe fully nude. Touching rules are up to the girl. No sex here. Two complementary drinks are included.

The blue room is semi-private with curtains providing privacy. I’m told by the waitress who gave me an hour-long dance in the champagne room that sex is on offer in the blue room. She was putting some effort into upselling me on the blue room or the safari room.

The safari room is private with a door that locks. Apparently decorated in safari theme.

The thing about these exorbitant prices is that the girl doesn’t make much more than in AMS. For the champagne dance she mentioned her take would be $200 and the house takes the rest. Payment is made to the manager. Of course that’s only touching and no bj or sex, so pretty easy work.

I can’t say for sure because I wasn’t going to drop $2000 but it seems that sex is a regular, albeit crazy-expensive, offering in-house in the blue rooms and safari room. I think it would have been possible to arrange a private date with one of the waitresses, who are absolutely gorgeous. The price would probably be comparable to a high-class escort in AMS.

Went there with a friend a couple months after 9/11 and I still remember the missing persons posters plastered all over the city. Hahaha, yes, I've always been aware that there's some dancers who will turn tricks in most lap dancing establishments, but I've never seen the point given the extortionate prices they charged in the UK (where I'm from).
