Anyone else unable to get on earlier??? Also the latest girl reviews aren't showing for me

Yeah, the mysql server crashed. We don't normally get 1000 people browsing the site at the very same time. I have a pretty good idea why it happened though; I'm guessing most of these folks are on the site due to something in the local news today.

Which girl reviews are missing? Or what else do you (or anyone) think is missing? I take backups of the entire database every night so I can do a comparison if there's an issue here.

Yeah, well....


And the database server process crashed about 15 minutes later. It seems to be mostly because of a link from a Dutch news site to a thread here.

I could always upgrade the server/memory easily enough and likely prevent a similar occurrence but we normally don't get anywhere near enough traffic to justify it.


Hahaha... I'm glad to hear someone actually uses that! Yeah, a (edit: shitty) script generates that list on a regular basis and, when it couldn't query the db anymore, the list went away. :-)

I'm curious, why were they linking here?

They were linking to this thread among many links to other sites and links to Conchita's website (via the wayback machine.)

A crying shame, really.

The woman had a double life, which was exposed. She was fired from her 'normal' job (I know which one, but respect her privacy more than the papers - it is however probably extremely easy to find) and this was exposed in a lot of newspapers.
