Antwerp RLD

I've recently visited Antwerp during a stay in Belgium, I've got to say that I was impressed with the RLD setup.
I stayed at the International Zeemanshuis hotel, which is a stonesthrow away from it. It's a nice, cheap place to stay, quite big, and has windows that open wide to get rid of any smoke if you have brought some from the Netherlands.

The RLD itself is a triangular area with windows on 2 of the 3 sides. One of the streets is called verversui. I can't find the other streets name, but once you are there it's obvious to see the boundries. There is also a passage between there streets called the Tinto Villa, a purpose based 'alleyway' with a small police station slap bang in the middle of it. The streets are also cut off from traffic.

I read somewhere on the web before I went that there are 150 windows in the area. At the time I'd say that the majority of them were taken up ( on a Thursday evening). I wasn't really counting, but I'd guess from 50 to 75% of the windows were occupied.
I'd say there was a mix of about 1/3rd coloured girls, 1/3rd Eastern European looking types and a mixture of the rest. There were about 3-4 older looking milfs/gilfs and nice they were, too. Also about 1/2 doz trannies that even Ronaldo would have guessed.

The vibe was distinctly local, no tourists. A lot of the girls would shout at the punters walking by and by their reaction, they were obviously known to the girls. Mostly single guys but there were a few groups of young guys wandering about, but not the Stag groups.
The only ugly moment was when a guy in a group of arabic guys spat on one of the girls windows... but that was it. They shouted at each other for a bit, then it was over.
Funny moments were that you would see quite a few girls with a blanket wrapped round them running down the street to talk to one of their friends in another window.

I eventually went with a lovely, chatty Dutch girl, about 30, who commutes from Rotterdam. I don't think she liked Amsterdam too much.

If you are ever in the area then I would check this place out.

The hotel's quite good. Fair sized rooms, but quite basic. TV and en-suite...that's about it. But you will probably get more since you've gone for the superior room.
I didn't get to eat there, so I can't comment on any food that they do, but they have a nice bar which was showing sports at the time ( snooker, if you can call that a sport).
The rooms are easy to get to and they have lift access.

Hope this helps.

Yes thanks alot.

I find sometimes your better going for a basic hotel and
booking there biggest room than a higher class hotel
and a single room.

Few weeks left to go yet until my trip its a shame theres
not more info around on the rld itself and the ladies.
Will be going in there kamers on chance which i dont
really like to do.I like to have a bit of info first on them.
Sometimes you can find a real gem though by luck.

I dont normally eat in the hotels i stay in and normally book
if breakfast is is included. When your somewhere new you
dont want to be sitting in the hotel.

Thanks for the reply though.

I just returned from a visit to Antwerp and used the Information Booth at the train station to book my room (last minute). I had to be back at the train station early the next morning so I booked a room close to the station for 99E/night (including breakfast). It was rather plain but good proximity to a beautiful urban park and the metro back to the center.

In regards to the RLD, it was a unique experience! I found a pretty good selection of 7-8 looking girls, nothing to erotic but pretty good, all things considered.

Antwerp is a very nice City to visit and quite close to Amsterdam (2 hour train)

I would rate it a step below the AMS RLD and above the Achterdam/Harlem/Pijp/German RLD

I really like the sound of Antwerp. We all have different
tastes in the girls.Im sure there will be 1 or 2 that takes
my fancy.

Ive been to Achterdam 1 day.I liked it there but wouldnt
really take a day out of my stay in Amsterdam to go back there.
I like the setup there all in on street and easy to find from station.
I found the standard of girls lower than the dam so i may aswell
stay there.

Oh one more is the International Zeemanshuis hotel ok with a Escort
to your room.

I've often been to Antwerp. There are around 290 windows in total in the small compact area. On most weekday evenings almost all windows are occupied, the standard compares very well with the Wallen. I've never been during the day so can't comment there.

The Zeemanshuis is very close, I've never been in but have often passed by and seen lots of people eating in there.

I wouldn't say it's safer than Amsterdam, but I've never actually seen any trouble. There are some interesting bars and restaurants nearbye, and it's 10 minutes walk from the central tourist area around the cathederal.

Make sure you have a map though!
