Have you ever been trolling through escort websites, dating websites, or similar joints, looking at the pictures of the talent, thinking things like, "She's too good to be true", or, more simply, "Fake!". TineEye, a new image search engine was developed to help identify suspect images, although the developers likely had more weighty concerns in mind—copyright infringement and the like.

Upload or provide the URL of the suspect picture, it's then checked against 100's of millions of images, pixel by pixel, and the results are then returned to you with the URL's of matching pictures. The results of our sample uploads, although limited, were very satisfying. A browser plug-in is also available which allows you to simply right click any image to check it out.

I haven't been to the Asmara website in a couple of years, but those photos were definitely fake. I might just have to see where they picked up the photos.
