Unbeknownst to me Sheffield seems to have a thriving rld. Watched a programme the other day and it says there's 14 massage parlours (brothels) all on one road near the city centre. I've never really bothered with the saunas in Glasgow. The reports are extremely poor. Obvious trafficking, munters, police raids & the old bait and switch.
There are some rare good reports. It's not all negative, but generally Edinburgh is better IMHO.
Also, AW has a number of very good providers based in Glasgow. So it's not really worth bothering with the saunas.

In general yes. The reason this image gives way is that Glasgow wasn't built to have a tourist centre, and because of this you have very expensive and posh places right next to quite rough places. Edinburgh on the other hand is more like a standard European city of having a tourist/government buildings focus in the centre with the rougher areas more hidden away.

Add to what was previously said about the church getting involved in police affairs and it brings you to present day.

Think of Glasgow as a home you can live in, and Edinburgh as a show room.
