Im off to amsterdam in early jan

Been talking to a few friends they have given me some advice but I have a few questions if anyone can Help me out.

1) The B1 sex cinema - where is it -is it any good....?
2) Geldersekade - Ive had a few conflicting reports any definative answers on the doors here?
3) Anything around Leidseplein in the way of doors or cinemas?
4) Whats the deal with Private Houses? - any good ones? - how much?
Last one...
5) What about cities and towns outside Amsterdam - within an hour or so? - i hear its less of the tourists drinking and smoking too much and better value.

I don't know about the other questions, but I can tell you to stay away from the B1 sex cinema. Most sex cinemas in Amsterdam are smokey, smelly places. The B1 has two cinemas I believe the upstairs is a Gay Cinema and the downstairs show's straight porn. If you do decide to go, don't be surprised if a man sits next to you and trys to have gay sex with you. Of course if that is your thing go right ahead, be sure to use condoms. It doesn't matter what cinema you go into, it is a big gay cruising sence. Also beware of pickpockets. Not too many women go into the B1. But they do once in a while and I will leave that to another poster to tell you what happens when they do. ; )

Also somebody should tell him about the hot porn cinema directly across the street from the B1.

Cities within an hour by train include: Utrecht, Alkmaar, den Haag, and others.
