I've considered it in the past. Great location, but I believe it's an all non-smoking hotel. Being a cigar smoker (Among other things) that wouldn't do.

I think you may be mistaken on the smoking policy. The booking.com site states 'Non Smoking Rooms' under Facilites which I take to be an option rather than a standard. Also, when booking, I had to state whether I required smoking or non-smoking.

Good to know, because no smoking would definitely be a deal breaker for me. If I wanted that, I'd stay in New York. ;-)

Nice hotel. Very friendly staff.

Rooms are pretty small though so not the best for visiting escorts. Can feel smaller than a typical RLD kamer.

Don't know the staff's attitude to visiting ladies. It's a small place and they will typically recognise the guests (and non-guests), so you'd probably have to ask them the score on this.

Cheers.

Thanks jethro.

You've confirmed my fears with regard to having to ask permission. I just couldn't afford a big hotel this trip where my guest could have come in un-noticed. This will be a first for me and I'm more nervous about asking permission than the session itself.

So to anyone that's done this: do you ask when your guest arrives or before, do they have to sign in, are all Dutch hotel reception staff as cool as we like to think the Dutch all are i.e. am I likely to encounter contempt, derision, amusement etc.

WRT the room size my date will feel quite at home if the room is the size of a kamer ;-)
