Has anyone stayed in the Victoria Park hotel opposite central station and if so could you kindly tell me what the rooms like and would I be correct in thinking the lociation is good. Also is there a bar there and can you smoke there

Alright, stayed here a fair few times. It is a great hotel, air conditioning & openable windows in all rooms I've stayed in. Rooms are of good size and have everything you could need. Located directly across from Centraal station very close to coffeeshops, RLd, etc..

As for smoking, the majority of their rooms are smoking, however "the use of soft drugs is not permitted", however with air conditioning and openable windows, they can't tell. I always do when I'm there.

N.B. the concierge are bloody helpful with ANYTHING you need to know about!

You said that they have many smoking rooms but you cant smoke a joint!!!!!!

I have stayed there many times as well. I second all what JGM said. Yes you can have a joint. Just open you window and I always put a towel on the floor and never had any problems. It's a great place to stay. I know the Porters there because of the many times I stay and they know I smoke in the room and have never had any trouble. I have 4 days booked there in JAN. Have a good trip!

No problem. Oh and 1 tip. Dont get the room on the 1st floor in the Garden Section right across from the lift and the ice machine. Its the first room on the left when you walk across the sky bridge. Stoned people are up all hours of the night with getting ice. And they will keep you up. LOL
