Haha I take it he's famous then. As far as people wanting cash on the streets go, he does give entertainment.

Just got back from my first amsterdam trip. Seen alot of things in RLD that i find quite weird. I was standing in the corner of a main canal street waiting my buddy to finish a session with a girl. Since it was my first time he wanted to position me to a place where he thought would be safer considering that it was already 1 am. Right after he headed to his destination, I was first approached by this tall guy who spoke a language i didnt understand. He ended up asking for a smoke in english and i said sorry bro i am out. he started sort of yelling why dont you have money i dont understand why dont you have money. I dont know why i was being so polite instead of telling him to fuck off but instead i cared to explain him that my friend got it and that he'd be out any minute now. He then started yelling again i dont know your friend man i dont know your friend. It was as if he was trying to find a reason to yell. Imagine an overexcited italian way of speaking.Thats how he was. Anyways right after he took off a lady mid 40s came up to me and asked if i was alone. I said yes . She said "poor boy. its bad to feel lonely I understand you" . I said " i said i am alone not lonely". All of a sudden her mood changed and actually gave me the finger and took off. Oh btw 2 drug dealers approached to sell coke but when i replied in turkish they looked at each other and turned away. Finally my favorite was when a group of americans walking down the street stopped beside me for a discussion which i find very weird. One of the girls was sort of begging her boy friend to go and do a session with a girl they have spotted earlier. Saying that she would feel horrible if he didnt. The guy was apparently having second thoughts though.I got little carried away and ended up saying " Hey man.He who hesitates masturbates". I still cant believe why on earth i said something like that but the girl holding her boyfriends hand said " exactly.thats what i've been telling him". He eventually left his phone and other stuff to his girlfriend and started walking. Well they might all sound pretty usual for RLD but for a first timer i find them quite weird. Not to mention that everything above happened in 15 minutes! Longest 15 minutes of my life.

Yesterday I saw a disabled black guy (he sounded American) on a motorised mobility scooter performing stunts for tourists and locals outside the Bulldog Mack on Oudezijds Voorburgwal. He was actually quite entertaining. He was making jokes, doing slides (skids) and making it go on two wheels.
The strange thing is is that he was doing it for ages (he was already doing it when I walked by, I stopped for about 5 minutes to watch and he was still doing when I carried on walking) and he wasn't asking for money...
It was rather bizarre.

Uh, yes, this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ci1bdb6fmNUHe's always in the red light, at least i've always seen him recently. Best stunt was Oudekennisteeg/Oza on two wheels.

I knew the inevitable 'spare change' thing was coming up but he started telling me this realy weird (I assume untrue) shit that made me drawen in.
He said he was born in the Netherlands but moved to USA when he was realy young and when he was in his twenties joined the US army. After he got out he got jailed for petty theft but whilst in prison he killed a 'rapist' and got a longer sentence and then sent back to the Netherlands. After telling me this he pointed to a window on the canal and said 'she can speak five different languages'. The woman saw him pointed and opened up her door and shouted something whilst laughing with him. He replied 'I'm getting you custom for later'. He then said 'I don't want cash for nothing but I'll take you a short tour of the alley windows for whatever you want to give'.
I said yes (it was realy busy and I had my wits about me with hands firmly in pockets). The girls must of knew him as they were laughing and playing along with him when he was walking up. I'm originaly from Scotland and he said about this one girl 'she's scottish but she has a sore throat today so can't let you hear her accent'. She replied something about kilts. It doesn't sound that funny writing it here now, but it was fairly humurous at the time and I gave the guy something up to 5 Euros in change, to which he replied 'dunno if I should put this towards my savings I use to get a girl now and then or some fried chicken'. I watched him ponder for a second then walk into the chicken shop.
I also saw an older guy come out a window and the girl obviously carrying on the 'type' of session they had saying 'bu bye daddy' to which he turned round and said in a very fatherly manner 'now dear, that's my name only for inside, not outside'. I too have had an encounter with this guy. He too told us the army story. At the time, around five years ago, he was short, but he looked very muscely and had an open tracksuit top with full six pac and crazy eyes. He was trying to give us a tour, and we weren't interested, he followed us for a bit pitching his tour, but we just said no and have a good night, and he fucked off. I bet if you asked him the question of this topic, he would have some real crazy shit to say!

Some of the weirdest things I've seen in the RLD come from Singel - the curio shop on Lijnbaanssteeg (click on the image a second time and it gets even bigger)

Probably the worst thing i ever saw was a wasted crackhead drop his trousers in the skinny end of Tromp and start shitting!!! He moved on quick after a few people shouted at him!!!
I know there's no kamers at that end for a few metres....but although it was early hours one morning it was still pretty busy!!!!!!

I saw some poor drunken c**t fall into a canal and have to be fished out.
Not weird, really - but I laughed so much I nearly shat.
(I was drunk too - strange drug, alcohol . . . )
