I'm a fan of fine dining in Amsterdam, so I would recommend the following places:
Bistro Neuf
www.bistrotneuf.nl
Restaurant Van Speyk

www.vanspeyk.com/en/

Restaurant Anna at Warmoesstraat is surprisingly good, though situated not in a very fancy area
www.restaurantanna.nl

And at last - a real gem - restaurant Lastage near niewemarkt
www.restaurantlastage.nl

All this places are recommended to book in advance,
Especially Lastage, better several weeks before planned dinner.

Thanks for all your help. We have settled on ANNA in Warmoesstraat, near the Red Light.

I'm sure we will have a great time.

Thanks again for your time and assistance,

Munster
