on my last trip to amsterdam...i was told by tour guide that your not allowed to be in a group of more than four people around the rld

Sounds like shit.... you see much bigger tour groups.. Anyway it's a free country and walking around the streets hardly constitutes unlawful assembly.

On new years day this year I saw a group of roughly 12-15 Asian tourists all huddled on a street corner getting an explanation into the RLD for a guided tour.

Besides, it's almost impossible not to be crowded with anyone else late at night, even if you are travelling alone.
